Scholes is right but surely the finger should be pointed at who managed him and decided on his placement last season rather than pointing the finger at the club itself?

Scholes didn't slam United. He just used Lingard as an example of Premier League clubs not giving English players a chance. Lingard, Zaha and Januazaj looked very good during the preseason tour - but only Januzaj got the chance. Did Januzaj deserve his chance - definitely - but the other two would have benefited with some game time, especially when the team was looking flat. There was a lot times during the season where the team lacked spark and hunger - I think giving a youngster a chance during these times (e.g. a 15 minute cameo to show what they can do) could be beneficial. Januzaj got a chance and took it. James Wilson got a chance and took. I would say Tom Lawrence looked good in the game he played as well, dead rubber or not.

He's not wrong about the English tax either - just look at Newcastle. I don't think they spent much on the players they have, but if they had all been English, the price would be far greater.
Whatever it is, he should use examples from other clubs to highlight his points. This just creates unnecessary controversy for us and much much better is expected from A United legend.

And when ex players from other clubs slate us the same people here will say they should stick to their own teams.

Yep, Herrera's defensive work is much better, while his attacking input and link up between defence and attack is also good as he is technically good, mobile and creative (not limited like a De Jong or Khedira). I feel Herrera is exactly what we need. While Fabregas usually has more goals and assists, his defensive work is not that good and we need someone who makes us stronger defensively. Attacking wise or rather as far as goals/assists are concerned, with the right midfield behind them (which includes Herrera), RvP, Mata, Rooney, Welbeck, Januzaj et al will have more than enough goals and assists between them anyway.

Scholes call a spade a spade approach would suit MUTV. Sky, itv or the BBC.

I don't know if it would suit Mutv to have someone on there who doesn't completely tow the party line and put a positive spin on everything but thats what they need, after watching Mutv recently for the first time in a few years the channel definitely needs a bit more honesty.

It needs a shake up, the likes of Ritchie, Crerand, Anderson & Macari need to be phased out. May is alright at times, Irwin was good but he's rarely on these days it seems the channel needs a few new faces willing to have an opinion.

I meant to say it wouldn't suit MUTV.

Whatever, but at least not our own man demeaning us. Janujaz is still at the club, Lingard is still at the club. We have replaced Moyes with a proper manager and corrected our mistake. So he should shut it.

It would be a good move for Moyes, I mean he can even afford to buy Fellaini.

See, right about now (after completing one or two transfers) Fergie would be coming and saying there would be no more signings this window. We are pretty much nailed on to get one or two more on top of what we have. This is the Muppet window lads. This is what it feels like.

That's a good move for him

Not so sure. They dismissed Mancini for not winning the league. It's very cut throat. If he gets fired again, makes it less likely another team in the Champions League will gamble on him. He should have played it safer.
