Great news, he's not very good and that lowers the chance of them getting Sanchez/Shaqiri who are better IMO (still think they'll get Shaqiri but 25m for Lallana is ridiculous.
The British factor with regards to Lallana's price

We've gone from having possibly the worst left back options in the league to definitely having the best.

Over the moon.
What? Evra is still great going forward just been lacking in defensive department and pace because of his age. I wouldn't call him the worst.
Probably still one of the 5 best left backs in the league.

Agreed. Evra is still one of the better LBs in the league and having Shaw will just make us even stronger in that position. Evra is a great role model for Shaw, very glad that he extended his contract for another year.

It's like transfer deadline day today

Liverpool supporters had best leave their opinions of the Shaw transfer fee to one side if that's what they're about to spend on Lallana. Shaw's inflated fee is almost a bargain compared to that.

Don't get too excited - it's about Southampton I'd guess.

Exactly. Shaw as first choice with Evra to ease him in is great.

If they got 80-90 Million for Shaw, Lallana, and Rodriguez that would be exceptional business.

Replacing a manager that completely changed their playing style + four (possibly) of the key first team players that were responcible for its huge success could be too big of a blow for Southampton to recover from, at least for next season. New players + new manager/playing style, could really see next season as a struggle for Soton. Especially if they're replacing the Shaw's of the squad with Neil Taylors.

I think they are getting very fairly compensated.
Yeah, they should be able to get a silly amount of money for all of their troubles. And these sales look like they will happen early in the window so Southampton will have a good amount of time to re-invest in the squad.

Southampton look like they'll lose Pochettino, Shaw, Lambert, and probably Rodriguez and Lallana all just over a month after the end of the season, really does suck for them. They'll have close to 100m in to spend on players though, so they could strengthen yet.

And Lovren will probably leave, add another 15 million

I like Southampton, always want them to win when its a neutral game, but this is bad for them. Never going to get talents like Lallana, Shaw, maybe even Lovren if he leaves.

They're being gutted of their home grown players, that's rough

DOn't know if I can hate Lallana, I guess I can learn. Always seemed like a classy player and smooth on the pitch. Good player. Real expensive, but still, a nice versatile player

Can't help but feel that Lallana could be Liverpool's Ashley Young. Did very well at a mid-table team, bought for a big fee but I can see him struggling with the step up. Or maybe I'm discrediting Lallana a little bit.

I think he's a decent player but the fee is well over the top. We'll see how it goes but I don't think even Liverpool fans would be surprised if turns out to be a crap buy.
