Vidal won't have as much license to bomb forward here as he does at Juventus.
Unless we set up to counter quickly, I think he being able to bomb forward is a major plus point.

Yeah, that's never been proven, in fact I thought that myth was debuffed already.
I think everybody agrees that Fergie didn't leave a fantastic United side for Moyes, even though Moyes spectacularly failed to get anything out of the decent material he had. If Fergie had been more forward-looking with his transfer dealings in his latter years, we might have been spared the last season. We also might have had a team that played with pace, power and high pressing instead of this static, slow, predictable style of football, which in my opinion undeniably comes from fielding midfielders who didn't have the legs to make any energetic runs.
He should not have spent the entire budget in his last season, he should have spent money gradually in order to make sure the balance in the squad was consistently right. The same way he'd done it his entire career.Isn't leaving a squad that won the league at a canter and a massive feck-off transfer budget for the new manager forward thinking? We hadn't been beaten on points in the league as of may 2013 for three years.
It's disgusting revisionism that somehow Fergie is to blame for what happened under Moyes or that somehow what he should have done is decided to blow the entire transfer budget in his last season so the 'forward thinking' approach would have been to leave whoever took over absolutely no alternative or scope for change.

The idea that it's' sensible leaving a big budget for your successor so he can spend a shit-load on completely revamping the squad is misguided.
After this summer, we will likely have bought: A left-back, a CB, maybe a RB, two-three CM's (Fellaini, Herrera + maybe a new one), maybe a winger (new one), a no. 10 (Mata) and maybe a striker (Cavani). I'd say that's an unhealthy amount of spending in such short time and it would have been more sensible to spend that money gradually. The squad didnt need completely revamping? We've only signed two players this summer, so far, that's hardly a complete revamp. He left a very young defensive line, Mata, RVP, Rooney, Welbeck, Kagawa, Januzaj and Hernandez as attacking/forward options; he signed Zaha and lined up Herrera, Thiago Alacantar and Garay on a fecking plate. All of whom Moyes decided to ignore or nix. How is that not forward thinking?
Last seasons mess had feck all to do with Ferguson
I do think we need another cm, a cb and a winger but not sure we'll buy one this window.Agreed. Having a manager I trust helps a lot. Also, I was pretty sure we wouldn't make the same mistakes the club made last summer. We do have a very good team that only needs a few players to become a great one, so yeah I think Van Gaal will get more out of them.
Fun summer indeed, today was great and tomorrow it's Shaw's turn! It's all looking very positive right now.
I wish he'd have said more during his career then Scholes wouldn't feel the need so much to become such a gobshite to raise his media profile after he retired, as has seemingly happened.

Scholes call a spade a spade approach would suit MUTV. Sky, itv or the BBC.Me thinks Scholesy needs a hobby, although i partly agree with him still a negative headline based on Scholes quotes yet again.
Scholes would be great on MUTV i think as a counter balance to the Pravda regulars like Crerand, Ritchie etc.. At least there a bit of negativity is needed.
Was a fake image of Shaw at Carrington. This is broken, not working.

You're right. I mean to say his approach wouldn't suit MUTV.Not MUTV...thats how Keano got the sack
For someone who doesn't speak a lot, Paul Scholes has a lot to say.
Have you actually read the quote? or just read the sensationalist headline
