He started the UCL final up top though, right? Ronny was on the left against Essien. Anyway he's lost a bit of pace and doesn't seem to dribble much these days, so playing him on the left wouldn't be as effective.
Yeah, if I remember correctly we switched in the second half to 4-5-1 with Hargreaves in the middle. Now when I think about it Rooney probably ended up on the right with Ronaldo playing left the whole game because he had problems against A.Cole in the past.

I agree. A defensive midfielder is a must. Not sure about Blind as he is mainly a left back and we need a experienced defensive midfielder. If we were to add Vidal along with a defensive midfielder then our midfield would be completely transformed.
