There's seriously absolutely no reason for us not getting di maria.
He wants to leave, we need a winger and we have cash. Would be a farce if he doesn't come

There is one reason, and that reason is a lack of European football. Hopefully we can pay enough for him to get past that.

The two reasons are that he's either not keen on us or we are holding out for a lower fee.

If it's the latter, it can easily (and probably will) bite us in the arse. If it's the former then... :(

If he stays at Madrid then it would be a farce. If however PSG offer him a good contract you couldn't blame anybody at United (Ed will get the blame) for him choosing them over us, champions league + living in Paris wouldn't be too bad...

We just need to put a solid bid on the table.

2 words. Ed Woodward.

City managed to get Silva and Toure without CL and mega wages, so this whole CL thing should be managable.

So you think we will offer "mega wages"? I don't think there is a chance we will and there in lies the reason why players like Di Maria will not be here this season or the next.

Unlike the Vidal deal, we know our manager likes Di Maria. He has stated he wants a Di Maria (by name) type player if he wants to play 4-3-3. We know the fans are demanding a huge signing. We have money. Di Maria wants to leave and Real have stated as such. We must sign him. If Woodward is even halfway competent, he could get this done. Its so doable and we need a player like him.

We gave them to Rooney and we have so many players off the wage bill, it shouldn't be a problem. But yeah I never thought we have a chance of signing him, but him pushing for a move and then him seeing end up at probably PSG, without trying everything for him, is ridiculous.

Like I said many times Woodward talked a good game for the sponsors, but simply can't back it up.

On top, unlike Vidal we have not briefed the press to say we are not interested...

1. Van Gaal said we don't have world class wingers.
2. He mentioned Di Maria, by name.
3. Ancelotti says Di Maria wants to leave.

Woodward, make a cnuting bid.

PSG bound most definitely. It will most likely irk LVG, but any fan who has been paying attention for the last 10 years could have told him there would be no chance of us getting him.

The only thing that changes that is the player actively wanting Utd - he quite clearly doesn't. He will go where the £££ are.

Does he want to play 4-3-3 is the question though.

Signing Rojo and loaning out Nani while keeping Young/Valencia suggests not.

Plus does he want to choose 2 of 3 between RVP/Rooney/Mata and does he think Januzaj has starter level productivity on the other flank already ?

Well, you are on the Sanc, so I guess you know how much we've bidded for certain players last year. That's why I find it so ridiculous that we won't even try our best for Di Maria, who actually could be lured here.

But like I said, it's the end of August and Woodward proved to be simply out of his depth, no chance of him making that deal. I think a deadline day deal for Blind will be the end.

Do you mean "without CL and with mega wages"? Because if you think that City didn't offer Touré, possibly the highest paid footballer in the world at the time he signed for them, mega wages... then... I don't even... :p

Since when have managers ever been involved in 'talks'....

To be fair, Moyes did a lot during last season (snapped with everyones agent the whore) and Fergie used to get involved too.

Playing for PSG or Manchester United? No contest, however, if all he sees is ££££££ then he will most likely choose PSG
