I think Balotelli will be v good for them.

What annoys me is how other clubs are able to close transfers - whereas we spend all our time monitoring/preparing............
You don't think United could have got Balotelli if they wanted him?

And you.do know United signed someone Yesterday?

You may be correct but, there are 9 days left until the window closes and our team is significantly weaker than it should be. We've started the season with a squad that is not going to challenge for the top 4. There is keeping things quiet and then there is nothing happening at all...
But if things are being kept quiet, how do we know that there is nothing going on at all. Yes the usually reliable United journos are reporting there is nothing happening, but that's what the club is telling them. It seems that their go-to sources aren't talking, and of course the club is going to say there is nothing going on at all. They COULD say "Yes we're looking at a couple of players and hope to have a couple of deals completed soon" but if they say that, they open themselves up to all kinds of rumors and speculation. PLUS if the deals don't come off, it makes things so much worse than they are already.

If the club gives the official stance of "There is nothing to report" then they've covered their own back sides. If the deals come off, then brilliant. If they don't come off, well, they already said theres nothing to report, so apart from rumours, they can say "Well we did say nothing was happening". It's a win-win for United, so no problems there. I'm pretty sure deals are still being done, and even with 9 days left, deals CAN be done in 24 hours as LvG says, but it'd be panic buying in the final hours that we don't want to be doing... Fellaini for example.

You have your opinion, I have mine. You certainly could be correct.

I just don't think there is a cats chance in hell we will bring in anyone of note. Not one.

We don't know if anything is happening, we didn't with Herrera, for all we went for him last season, his actual move came out of the blue. Then Rojo yesterday was a surprise as well. The press think they no everything when they actually know nothing.

Starting to get thst same feeling. My only hope is that the media were convinced Shaw was lined up for Cheldea, and bith Rojo and Herrera came out of nowhere. I trust LVG to know the type of players he needs. I am just not sure they are on the market. There is no doubt that there are some very good players available, but not sure LVG needs them.

Maybe not, but we definitely won't if we don't try.
Ha, and the stick United got for trying to get Fabregas last year.

There's little point trying a bid if the player does not want to come to you, which by all indications is the situation with Di Maria.

True. I just wish they would get on with either saying the squad is strong enough, so we can get on with moaning, or get any players signed so they can get settled into the team. One or the other.

Exactly. The clown has nearly 14000 posts on here in a few years. WTF! Seriously, why would a supposedly LFC fan want to spend so much time on an opposition forum? He needs to spend more time on his homework and think about getting a hobby or maybe a girlfriend.
To be fair though he seems ok, if its a choice between getting the piss ripped out of him on here or having to put up with the numpties on rawk, only one choice really.

Rallying calls are so much less impactful when the author is getting paid a bucket load of cash for it.

The Glazers are a parasite.
United need to make big signings to stay competitive
Scholes is turning into a media whore and his opinions are intentionally sensationalist.

These are truths!

Which Indications were those. Everything I've seen says he wants to get a wage increase, whether that's at Real Madrid, PSG or Manchester United doesn't seem to matter. I can't remember seeing anywhere that he wouldn't come to United.

The level of pessimism is way too high in here.

All the rubbish tweets that said negative stuff and it was easily agreed and all the tweets that are positive are simply deemed rubbish.

There is a difference between pessimism and being realistic.
