I thought EXACTLY that. You, sir, are a genius.

Tune in to MUTV from 18:30 BST tonight for United In Press, a weekly review of the newspapers with the Sunday Times' Jonathan Northcroft, the Daily Mirror's David McDonnell and United We Stand fanzine editor Andy Mitten.

Might get some info there.

This thread managed to move on nine or ten pages since I last looked at it at work (around 2.00 ish) and I really thought I must have missed something but no... nothing.

Its not stupid if it comes off. Madrid have replaced Di Maria before they've actually sold him and the other main competitior doesnt look like being able to get a deal done. While the club needs to act quickly to bring players in, those in charge wont want to pay over the odds for fear of looking like a soft touch and seeing prices get hiked - either in the last few weeks of this window or later on.

If the club are seen to blow £70 plus million on one player this week, that'll add significant sums to other players they might want to bring in next week.

Its high risk, for certain and if it doesnt come off then Woodward, in particular will be the man who's neck is on the line in terms of the fans opinions of him.
But 50M for him wouldn't be paying over the odds IMO.

Know-nothing spoofer, PLEASE stop posting

He wasn't on the blacklist. So I posted it. It's so hard to keep up with people's sensibilities in here. Ban this guy, don't ban that one. Can't take any discussion on the matter seriously when we still allow tossers like Duncan Castles to be posted. And why is Pilib de Brun blacklisted? because he's emotional? Gives good info and loves the club from what I can tell. This whole post wasn't directed at you, just quoted you because it was relevant.

Anyone have a stream for this?

Edit: Found one. PM me if anyone wants it.

Here's a tip - the more posts in this thread, the less likely it is we've actually signed someone. If we did, they would have their own thread in the United forum.

I'm speaking with my conspiracy theory hat on, but I get the feeling that de Brún isn't liked here is because he's had a pop at the Caf' a few times on his Twitter account (something about being banned).

I've followed him a long while now and I have to say that I think he's a genuine guy who, admittedly, gets too emotionally involved in some United topics. He has solid contacts, however, and many (like a favourite son of the Caf', Daniel Taylor) vouch for him.

As you said, too, can't see the issue with de Brún when tossers like Jackson and Castles, two known anti-United journalists who regular paint us in bad light, are lapped up here.

Just rivered in.

Thanks. Agree.

Because anything bad is taken as gospel here for some bizarre reason.

Interesting read and makes sense to be honest. You cannot declare him as a United player before you have satisfied all third party obligations.

Of course, Rojo is acting jovial because everything from his side and Sporting's side has been completed. Good addition to the squad!

He's a Times journalist, why the feck would he be banned? Matt Davies doesn't even exist, one of the many 12 year olds on twitter pretending to work in the media.

Everything Castles posted today has been backed up by Portuguese media. He was due to fly in, he was kept in Lisbon, he trained this morning, missed the afternoon session. You'd think he'd personally insulted every United fan and player by the reaction on here, when in fact, all he said was a player had trained with his club this morning, which as usual, turns out to be 100% correct..

You'd think that when these journos are continually outed for talking nonsense some sort of journalistic pride might force them to question their sources?
