Whats wrong with Herrera then Jim Lawlor?

Nothing, really like him, just that so much quality was on the market and we probably end up with "only" Herrera. Wasn't meant to say Herrera is a shit signing, just that another player with atleast his quality would've been nice.

Herrera's our most influential player. he's got the best close control I've seen from any midfielder in the league and he does the dirty work well, too. One midfield signing alone, I don't care who it was, was never going to answer all our problems there. We need another. I've got nothing against Fletcher but we need the quality of a Vidal to match Herrera's. Failing that, we're going to have to sign a defensive midfielder accustomed to the style we're currently playing. As much as some people will disagree, that player would have to be Daley Blind.
I think Blind will be a good signing for you. Problem for him is his name isn't Vidal, Kroos or Fabrgeas - Not the superstar some want. Plus, Woodward's statements about the financial power United makes this seem underwhelming. Woodward's statements gave the impression the midfielder Unietd would sign would be Vidal (still could be, just looking more and more unlikely), not a midfielder from the Dutch league.

At this rate, Duncan Castles may as well be banned me thinks. (Yes I just posted this tweet, lol!)

Training this morning doesn't mean he can't travel to Manchester today. As much as everyone hates Castles, he's reliable. Pointless banning someone because people don't like 'em.

Tune in to MUTV from 18:30 BST tonight for United In Press, a weekly review of the newspapers with the Sunday Times' Jonathan Northcroft, the Daily Mirror's David McDonnell and United We Stand fanzine editor Andy Mitten.

This should be interesting. From the official website.

In hindsight that Nani contract renewal was such utter lunacy considering the inconsistent form he had showed in Saf's last season and throughout his career.

We will now struggle to offload him for the next 3 years, because of those wages.

There are some who thought it utter lunacy at the time ;)

Woodward ''this summer will see United move in the transfer market like never before''.

Well, we previously had 2 seasons, 1 where we signed only 1 player, and another where we only signed Carrick. So 5 players in, and tons going out could be considered "like never before" perhaps.
