QPR sign another overrated player?

Vargas did well at Valencia last season as one of their best players, not good enough for a big club going for top 4 in the PL but would be good for clubs the size of Valencia and smaller. Would be a no brainer for a club like QPR

No chance that we were close to any of those players.

It was reported in the autumn last year from sources close to Old Trafford that we outbid Madrid for Bale but he has made his mind up by that point.

A case of too little, too late maybe, but we it's been wel documented that we bid strongly for him late in the window/before he left Spurs.

Its a sad indictment if true. To put it another way, if all three were close, he failed to convince even one to make the move..... Out of three.

Bullshit.

All three were at, or making the move to, their dream clubs. Ronaldo's dream has always been to play for Madrid so his flirting with us was only to serve one thing: get Ronaldo a juicy new contract. Fabregas desperately wanted to succeed at Barcelona, too, and used us as a bargaining tool to get assurances about his future there. As for Bale, well, it was apparent as soon as Madrid fluttered their eyelashes at him that he wanted to move to Spain. They stole a march on us and we never really recovered the lost ground after that.

It's absolute tripe to blame Moyes for the failure of these three bids.

considering we are getting closer and closer to the deadline it seems even the bullshit merchants are giving up lol

Don't see why everybody is laughing at claims that seem to actually be true. We were clearly in for Fabregas. And it's been reported quite a bit that we made a massive offer for Bale, every chance we'd have Bale right now if Madrid hadn't of gone in for him.

Finally getting to 1000 pages on here surely means Woodward will treat us with a signing today for our commitment to the cause.

Well, of course it's BS. That's why I stated if they were close, because the reality of if being true would imply that those moves weren't dream moves for the parties involved. The fact that Madrid was a dream move for Bale, for example, is indicative that Moyes is exaggerating at best.

I don't blame him for broken negotiations, that's not his responsibility, but I do think his "close" rhetoric to be somewhat misleading.

The caf would implode.

We implode on anything nowadays. Nani going there will in fact be another signal that it is done dealio, so it should be taken as positive. Given it is Tuesday already, I doubt he will go into team for Sunderland game even if we register him by tomorrow, as LvG won't put anyone in without training in his system. So, the midweek Capital one cup is earliest he can play.

OK, so we signed like 3 players, 2 of which are first team players and none of them good enough?

I trusted such a big club will not be so naive and terrible with transfers...
Which team do you support?
