Are you so bored of being a copper TR, that you are wasting your time Wumming on the Internet?

Want me to find a new job for you?

Can you really not imagine? Staff and transfers mostly. Attention to detail.

Granted that Manchester United has a fantastic infrastructure but there is nothing better than being hands on. If you remember back to the Arron Ramsey transfer, we sent Gary Neville to show him round the club whilst Arsenal sent Wenger. Ramsey admitted that Wenger meeting him made him feel more wanted at Arsenal and that is why he chose to sign. Before you start, yes I know that Ramsey is no great player but the principle remains the same, it is an advantage in transfer negotiations to have the manager on the ground, especially if you don't have the money that other clubs will be offering.

With Manchester United going through the most significant transition period in 26 years and with Moyes being brand new to the job it surprises me that he chose to go on holiday. Mourinho, whatever you think of him, is the elite level manager in the game now that SAF has retired. After getting told off by a few on this board for my admittedly lazy comment, I knew that Mourinho would not be taking a holiday before I looked it up, he will not miss a single beat in his quest for glory.

KM

I am not moaning. If we do get off to a bad start I will not be blaming it on Moyes's holiday!

Tbf, it was mentioned in the several of the articles in Telegraph, Mail that Moyes has already starting working here and has then gone to a holiday. I'm expecting that all the staff stuff has been taken care of, and it will be announced on 1st of July with Moyes.

From what i've read of him, Moyes seems to be the kind that pays a lot more attention to detail to things than Mourinho. That includes him giving some time to his family on a holiday at a time when there is near 0 requirement for him to be working ;)

I am not sure where you got that from. Moyes may well be very good with attention to detail but Mourinho is known for being absolutely meticulous in everything that he does. There is a lot of substance to go along with his style.

moyes holiday could be due to the fact that the ontract the club gave him starts on july 1st. hes not officially an employee yet and we dont know know what the feck hes doing on holiday he could be lounging by the pool watching hours upon hours of match tapes or reviewing players contracts or performance. jesus christ

You sir are a condescending arse.

Mourinho isn't taking a holiday this summer. 'I don't need a holiday. I'm sorry we don't start training tomorrow!'

Is it so hard to believe that a high achiever starting a new job might want to forfeit his summer holiday to get a head start? It surprises me a little that Moyes has chosen to take one.

He doesn't start his job until 1st July!

Maureen started his job immediately because his employment started immediately. Moyes is still officially an Everton employee

However, you can bet your ignorant arse that between Fergie and Moyes, they would have met and discussed everything in great detail before and wheels are in motion everywhere.

I don't think being a Mourinho fanboy is compatiable with being a United fan. Some people better make a choice.

This reminds me of the time when SAF went on holiday every year and all the players and all the other managers too went on holiday every year.

when you manage Manchester United you are not allowed to take ANY break at all during the year. Transfer muppets never sleep so why the feck should anyone ever have to take a break? In fact, Moyes should be making phone calls to agents, players and managers 24/7. Transfers dont stop for sleep!

Are you kidding? Mourinho is the elite level manager in the game these days! Elite managers don't take holidays! They spend their time instead pestering football players who're trying to take their holidays!

Moyes out!

Although we arguably have some problems to sort out (midfield being one), it's the other clubs that have to play catch-up; we're champions, after all...therefore, United & Moyes have no need to panic & rush around like other managers & clubs.[/stating the obvious]

I do not wish to come into a twitter thread and read about holidays. Take it somwhere else pls or open up one in the general

Look at this asshole. He had an holiday.

Are people really suggesting that Moyes shouldn't have gone to holida? Forgetting that people go to holiday, that he has a telephone on holiday, that are other people who are looking for transfers and very likely are coordinating things with Moyes and that probably we have deals with some of our targets in the first place. Oh, and I almost forgot, the transfer muppetry season continues for other two months after Moyes comes from holiday.

Do you remember when we lost Sneidjer because Fergie fell asleep on holiday and Gill went into a fugue state only to be found days later, naked and shivering outside the Camp Nou?

Yep, that's exactly the reason why Glazers sacked Gill and SAF. Now I am hoping that they'll sack the lazy Moyes too.

 how about when Fergie was on holiday and sent Aaron Ramsey to be shown round Old Trafford by Neville whilst Wenger saw him personally.

Can we get back to talking and posting transfer tweets? I am sure we all agree the holiday comment was silly.

when was the last time proper Tweets were actually posted Top? This thread is 277 pages long, only about 10 have actual real tweets

Dracula old son,. just out of interest, are you one of those fans who think most of our players are crap?
Absolutely not mate, I know that's what people think when I posted that about ronaldo. I'm certainly pessimistic. .. but I'm realistic. At the moment we are not one of best teams in world and we can't compete with the likes of madrid/psg/city/chelsea on a financial basis. On a football basis we do much better, although still behind to many to tempt ronaldo back. There is an irony, however, that if he did come back, our standing would greatly improve. All other things equal, if we had ronaldo I think we have a better side than madrid.
I'm not slating United at all, these things come in cycles, a few years ago the two best teams in world were barca and United, now they are bsyern and arguably dortmund/barca. After this transfer window, who knows? Probably still bayern but psg will be right up there. Or time will come again, might just take a year or two.
Personally I think if we were willing to spend 65m on a player I'd rather it go on Bale. No I don't think he is as good as ronaldo, or will be, but he could be damn close with a team like ours, and we will have him for many more years than ronaldo. We missed ronaldos peak, we could benefit from bale's. Question is will ronaldo at 31 be as good as bale is at 28?? Tough one.
I don't think we are shit at all, I'm just realistic that if ronaldo were to leave madrid there are one or two other clubs that could at this moment in time offer better wages (assumption I know) and slightly better chance of champions league trophy.
I think this transfer window will be a defining moment for United.

Good advice Top.

Pierce Morgan is tweeting that Arsenal are going for Higuain, while Transfer News Life are saying that betting for Cabaye joining Monaco has been suspended.
