Wasn't Kuszczak some kind of part player swap as well - was it Steele and/or McShane that was involved ?

Yes we have.. Keith Gillespie in the Andy Cole transfer

As has already been said it was 18 years ago. Never was a pretty strong word, I just mean it's not how we do business and anyway, Campbell and Gillespie made a handful of appearances for us between the both of them, it's a bit different to talking about a player worth somewhere around the £20m mark being thrown in as a make weight. It'll never happen and aside from being pedantic I can't see any reason why people are trying to make out that us doing a part exchange isn't completely ridiculous and out of the question.

Well we should look at Moyes transfer history to see if he has ever done it.

I wouldn't judge how Moyes has conducted transfers at PNE and Everton as a good indicator of how he will do them at United.

If the club think that Nani + Cash is a fair swap for Strootman, I dont see why past dealings or managers transfer histories have anything to do with it.

I don't think Nani would go to PSV, he said he wouldn't go to Portugal because it's not at his level or something.

Would be genius for Nani to go to the Dutch league straight after saying he was too big for the Portuguese league!

As turnarounds go it'd be the best since Redknapp went ape over such high wages for a club with 18,000 capacity at QPR, before rubber stamping even sillier deals for Samba et al
