It gets better - according to some Twitter page called Football News, we have agreed a fee of 65 million with Real for Ronaldo, and all to be done now is personal terms

Who is this Ben Fairthorne?
The idea that Fergie is spending his first few months of retirement feverishly convincing Ronaldo to come back is just plain absurd.
Well, he did say he was looking forward to watching the team without suffering with them. Maybe he wants to be a super-fan who can also dictates what he sees by bringing Ronaldo.

He might of seen it as the perfect switchover, inheriting a team with Ronaldo, RvP and Rooney would be insane.
Why the feck is Moyes on holiday?
I would imagine that the financial implications of any potential move for Ronaldo would mean Rooney leaving. The 'three Rs' that you speak of will cost not far off a million pounds a week in wages. That triple R Combo would shut up those twats who said we've lost the fear factor.
Sound like my wifeJust apologise for everything and we may let you live.
Can people stop talking about ronaldo as if he is coming to United. It will never happen. Ever. Ever. Ever. Anyone who thinks do is an idiot. We cannot afford his fee, if we could we would spend it on bale s he is years younger. We cannot afford his wage and he wouldn't want to come back to us anyway. If he leaves madrid it will be for either ab better football team or for more money. Neither of which, for the next couple of years at least can we offer.
Sorry to be a killjoy, is just getting a bit embarrassing

Why?What a fecking Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime you are.
Bugger, thought I'd edited that one out ;-)
Why?
I have said nothing that isn't true. And if it isn't, it isn't any less accurate than anything else written about ronaldo coming. In my opinion he and his agent are using us to get more money out of madrid. It's just going to end in disappointment when we do not get him. I agree with a previous poster that there is no smoke without fire, I'm sure we are interested, but I can't see us spending all that money and I don't see him leaving for us.
We are being led on by twitter fools who want to tease us to get more followers, I'm just saying we shouldn't fall for it.
km, if you want to go for it but calling someone a Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime for disagreeing? Didn't think that of you I have to say.
I'm genuinely surprised so many people think this could happen, surely I'm not the only one who doesn't ?

What's the point of people posting definite statements like 'Player X won't be coming here' or 'Player X will definitely be signing for us'? None of us bloody know...
You sir, are an arse
You sir are a condescending arse.
Mourinho isn't taking a holiday this summer. 'I don't need a holiday. I'm sorry we don't start training tomorrow!'
Is it so hard to believe that a high achiever starting a new job might want to forfeit his summer holiday to get a head start? It surprises me a little that Moyes has chosen to take one.
A head start doing what?

Not what I expect from a Mod.What a fecking Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime you are.
Can you really not imagine? Staff and transfers mostly. Attention to detail.
Granted that Manchester United has a fantastic infrastructure but there is nothing better than being hands on. If you remember back to the Arron Ramsey transfer, we sent Gary Neville to show him round the club whilst Arsenal sent Wenger. Ramsey admitted that Wenger meeting him made him feel more wanted at Arsenal and that is why he chose to sign. Before you start, yes I know that Ramsey is no great player but the principle remains the same, it is an advantage in transfer negotiations to have the manager on the ground, especially if you don't have the money that other clubs will be offering.
With Manchester United going through the most significant transition period in 26 years and with Moyes being brand new to the job it surprises me that he chose to go on holiday. Mourinho, whatever you think of him, is the elite level manager in the game now that SAF has retired. After getting told off by a few on this board for my admittedly lazy comment, I knew that Mourinho would not be taking a holiday before I looked it up, he will not miss a single beat in his quest for glory.
KM
I am not moaning. If we do get off to a bad start I will not be blaming it on Moyes's holiday!
