You hope a club is told they aren't allowed to sell their player for as much as they want to ?

If true, it is complicated situation and I am not sure how they can stop it. However, it is blatantly obvious that there is wrongdoing, which should not be allowed.

I don't think the buying club should complicit with the deal. There should be some unwritten law in the affect. Otherwise something similar can come back and bite you in the ass.

Porto are probably only getting a portion of Rodriguez' transfer fee anyway, but I believe they bought back all of Moutinho's rights over the last year so they didn't have to worry about a part-owner getting pissed over the €1m fee, if it's true.

That was the economic rights that Porto had sold to an investment fund, separate from the Sporting 25%.

Cadena Ser are reporting that RM have signed Isco for 5 years. No confirmation from the clubs but they're usually accurate

Yeah, but if they sell him while someone else holds rights, the rights holder gets that % of the fee. So if he's sold for 1m, the rights holder gets X% and Sporting get 25%, with Porto getting the rest.

It always seems a waste to hear of a young talent going to Real Madrid, but selfishly this is better than the City link becoming a reality.

Would that mean he's competing for a place with Ozil? Kaka is surely on his way out anyway?

Kaka seems likely to move every window but never does, apparently because of wages. He signed a six year deal (at the same time as Ronaldo) so he could just sit that out unless someone (Monaco?) comes in and matches his wages.

Kaka's only possible directions are Brazil and Turkey. I guess it might happen this Summer.

Kaka's situation is really sad, I can't help but reminisce about some of his performances at Milan (including against us) and feel like his peak years have been completely wasted. What a player he was.

Alexis Sanchez gave a pressy today saying he is being counted on by Barcelona going forward, Juventus have apparently turned their attention to Ibrahim Afellay

Moutinho and Rodriguez signed for 70m €.Rumour has it that Porto sold Rodriguez for 69m so to pay to Sporting only 25% of 1m from Moutinho

Cheeky feckers

If this is true, it's the cuntiest transfer deal ever. Awesome.

That Tancredi guy says Valdes is next for Monaco...he's still saying Falcao will end up there.

It's not true.

Rodriguez was for 45m Euros and Moutinho for 25m Euros.

Neymar to Barcelona, the saga, looks to be finally drawing to a close. Final confirmation appears to be imminent.

Neymar Messi Sanchez
Iniesta Xavi
Busquets

Something like that?

Pedro can come in for Sanchez, Fabregas for a number of different people.

Instead of Villa I'd imagine.

Pretty much. I think an official announcement is no more than a few hours away.

Villa apparently rejected an offer to go to Atletico so the rumours of him going to England seem pretty legit - Spurs or Arsenal

I'm sure. Isco is supposedly tied down but several others are rumoured.

Interesting stat. Romario signed in '93, Ronnie in '03 and Neymar in '13

Don't sully the good name of Statistics by calling that an "interesting stat"; it's a useless fact at best.

Poorly worded on my part. The team has scheduled press conferences the day before a match and different players usually are sent out by the club, this time it was Alexis and he was asked about his future

Ah I see, I can cross another off my wing forwards list for us then, I'm down to one.

Would I be right in thinking that over the last 20 years or so, your side has mostly been made up of a Spanish back 4 and midfield, and a foreign trident up front?

neymar to barcelona is done. just awaiting further confirmation. great signing for barca

This was done in Norway. The two clubs involved was fined close to 20% of the transfer fee and the people central to the deal was fined and a agent lost his right to be a agent.

More or less I suppose. However, the resurgence of the cantera is a recent phenomena where the starting XI is dominated by La Masia or Catalan players.

Some of the key defenders & midfielders over the last decade: De Boer, Reiziger, Cocu, Zenden, Figo, Riquelme.

But it's true, the forwards have largely been foreign players over the years

Spanish newspaper Sport: Edinson Cavani has agreed terms with Real Madrid. He has a €63m buy-out clause. No offer made yet
