Funny how the Mirror article stated that 'PSG head the queue of interested clubs' yet the fuss has mostly been about Chelsea & even Newcastle recently...

Is "L'Equipe" just as awful as all the other "sources"?

A bit suspicious that they post this on the same day as the Zlatan interview...

It's a very famous & respected French football magazine; should be reliable, I reckon.

PSG would make sense. He actually wouldn't need to speak much French, short flight back to the UK (even direct to Liverpool), they have loads of money to spend ... If he goes I think it's the most likely destination.

Yeah, most of their big stars aren't French anyway. Beckham seemed to get by alright.

Don't see him going to Paris. Don't know how happy he'd be commuting from London, assuming his young family would want to remain in England.

If there's any truth in is, my guess is that we'd accept a bid even if Rooney didn't want to play abroad (or, at least, for PSG).

We have a user called Rooney In Paris. He might finally be correct.

I think this could actually happen. PSG wouldnt bother with this if Rooney wasnt interested in moving there.

40m for Wayne and United will probably say deal done you got your man

I'd bite their hands off for that deal. PSG get another "star" to win the publicity they crave, and Moyes gets an extra big transfer fund. Everyones a winner.

40 mil and Verratti. Take Rooney. Only need Ronaldo coming back and we are set.

I'd definitely be asking for Verratti to be included in any deal, too good of a chance to pass up.

He's a very good prospect, voted in the Ligue 1 team of the season and performed even better in the CL. Would be a brilliant signing for us.

Would be happy to let him go to a foreign club for 25£+ mill. We need the cash to find a replacement! Hopefully bringing Ronaldo back home, although that might seem a little unlikely.. Levandowski would be a great signing too! We already have Kagawa as the playmaker, we just need out-and-out strikers, we are pretty reliable on RVP if Rooney leaves..

Chicharito?

@tancredipalmeri: Manchester City's target and Pellegrini's pupil Isco is very close to sign for Real Madrid after a meeting at Bernabeu of his father/agent

Unless he doesn't want to rob from his old club, which is possible.

I thought he said he didn't make promises about taking anyone with him one was that just staff. Besides it would be counter productive to not go after players he knows can do a job for him just out of past loyalty. Fergie did the same with McLeish and Miller and said he regretted it.

We made a big bid for him last year, something like 30m. Will Rooney go for much more than 30m? I doubt it.

At least 40, especially if he's going for PSG. Lucas is a great talent, and you can see he has tons of pontential. But he scored 0 goals so far, and had a few assists. Can't really compare, and say they could be the same price tag.

Rumours doing rounds Beckham will be at United in some role.

Likely ambassadorial.

Kevin Strootman is also being linked on Twitter with United according to a Newbie.
