That would be one weird one as Michael Keane is starting ahead of him.

The last position I want is centre back. Ferdinand, Vidic, Jones, Smalling, Evans - with Wooton and Keane waiting further in the wings. Would make no sense at all to me. Sure, Ferdinand and Vidic may be moving on and in 5 years time or so we may have neither - but surely the other names would be fine for the centre back spot.

Striker converted to Left winger and then left back apparently. Been injured for a month or 2. hmm..

Btw Victor Valdes agent has confirmed that he will not sign a new contract which expires in 2014.

Bayern need a keeper?

Yeah he's bullshitting.

TBH we probably would have thought that if he said that we were signing Bebe a week before we did.

He's been pretty accurate in the past. Why would he bulshit about a relatively unknown player and spoil his rep now ?

We did sign Buttner too out of nowhere to play Left Back and have a good relation with Leicester.

De Gea to Barca :nervous:

Dont see why people care, if the club see talent then why not? He'll be a low fee on a low salary who we'll always be able to move on if it doesnt work out.

Baffled by Valdes' decision.

Who's in line to succeed him - apart from de Gea? Any upcoming Spanish goalies? Or shock move for Casillas?

These De Gea to Barcelona rumors are going to get very annoying aren't they?! Only problem with signing a young Spaniard.

Valdes wouldn't be much better in the prem either, tbf. And Reina can play from the back.

Maybe he just wants more recognition. At Barca if you lose it's the keepers fault but if you win then its the attackers who get praise more often than not. Isn't that what Enke was afraid of?

But we are set for at least the next 3-4 years because he signed a five year contract and its his 2nd year. Maybe after another year we might give me an extension which means they have to pay more than £20m to get him. I doubt they are going to spend that much on a keeper.

Not so sure not saying it will be DDG but they have spent heavily on players not so long ago.

Liverpool Echo:

#LFC are interested in bringing Wesley Sneijder to Anfield – but only if the Inter Milan midfielder agrees to take a massive pay cut.

Fixed.

They'd be lucky to get him for a stadium tour.

They've finally realised they don't actually need a goalkeeper, and will be playing without one.

A Liverpool-associated journalist has stated that Sneijder would have to accept his Inter wages being cut by a third if he were to join LFC. F*cking hell, the incentives are just piling up for ol' Wes... ;)

TRANSFER LATEST
Birmingham City confirm they are open to offers for any of their first-team players as they battle financial problems. The club, lying 20th in the Championship, are looking to offload a number of players to reduce their wage bill.

Weird that they would announce that.

Is any part of that rotting carcass worth feasting on?

Nathan Redmond is about it. He's only 18 or 19, and would be a good buy for any Championship team, nothing more than that.

Jack Butland looks promising and a future England Regular maybe, but we have De Gea.

And then there is Redmond, but don't think he is Man United level. Some of their squad would be good lower level signings but certainly not our level.

Apart from that Dunno, about the youngsters they have right now but they do have a good academy there.
