What kind of player is he?

Central defender that likes to take part in playing the ball. He's a good passer of the ball. Really strong on the head, great left foot which he often uses to set up attacks or sometimes even score from direct free kicks. Good at intercepting in front of players, and physically strong. Not the fastest, though.

Who can blame him....the chance of silverware is probably bigger down south.

pfff, as if Ole was going to let Liverpool take him and give them a chance of becoming a better team.
shame on those who doubted him :)

@philmcnulty Mr Forren pulled out of his trial with LFC, Southampton all clear to wrap it up, it seems. Insert pun here @BenSmithBBC 43 minutes ago

 Aww.

Nuh-uh. What actually happened is...

@LivEchoLFC BREAKING: #LFC abandon plans to hand a trial to Vegard Forren after his club Molde agreed a £4m deal with Southampton - story to follow

aka. "Didn't want him anyway. YAWN."

QPR boss Harry Redknapp has confirmed that Loic Remy has had a medical today, and a deal to sign Yann M'Vila is 'very close'. Could be a very busy month at Loftus Road...

...

'Arry must be loving QPR with these deals. They'll make them getting relegated all the more funny.

M'Vila? Jesus, what wages are they paying these players? It'll be good though as if they get relegated, these players will all be available at dirt cheap prices.

Would be kinda funny to see them sign Remy and M'Villa, plus a few others on huge wages, and still go down.

Big fall from grace for M'Villa too btw, he was being linked with us and Arsenal a year or so ago.

I wonder do those players even know what situation they're getting themselves into.

Agent: ''How would like to live in London and earn far more than you do at the moment?''

Player: ''Who would I be playing for?''

Agent: ''Does it matter?''

Player: ''Not really.''

They clearly both haven't a clue what a state QPR are in. Didn't M'Bia think they were in Scotland? No point signing players like that.

Glad to see QPR are moving away from the failed tactic of buying expensive foreign mercenaries on wages their club will never be able to sustain...

That's the thing though, the chairman tony Fernandes can.

It's only once they get to Europe that Uefa will give a crap.

Meh, I wouldn't mind us picking M'Vila up dirt cheap when they go down. He's no longer worth real money, but could be a brilliant gamble for an even more cut price.

I know the wage bill is big, but in all honesty Redknapp has to do something.
He has a shit squad and he knows it.
And in my personal opinion, the players rumoured (Remy and M'Villa) don't look like bad buys to me. Ok I haven't watched that much of either of them but I know enough to know that they're not terrible players or ones "over the hill" already.
How the owners will cope with the wage structure is another thing, but they are in this mess because of Hughes, who somehow manages to construct 2 crap squads while managing a club with a very "generous" owner.
Redknapp's not at fault for Hughes' shit, and I honestly believe they won't be relegated, Harry's a good enough manager and if he gets these 2 than I believe QPR won't be the easy 3 points they seem now (well, Chelsea and Tottenham may dissagree already).

All this after Redknapp was whining about the wages some players were getting. The man is a massive cnut.

He had a point; Hughes amassed shit on huge wages

At least Harry seems determined to bring some quality in. I hope he does well. I don't get the QBR bashing. They have a chairman who is prepared to put his hand in his pocket to give his little club a shot at staying in the PL, you can't blame him for that

Great move !

Building a solid form and some Premier League experience may possibly get him targetted by one of top Premiership clubs.

M'Vila will not be there in a year's time.

He desperately needed to leave France.

Would love for him to have a good 6 months and join after showing his very real promise.

You make it sound as if it's some poor underdog betting his last dollar. The QPR owners have a net worth of £16.5bn; how is their spending any different from City's? Why should it be applauded?

does anyone think qpr can stay up with these moves?

It'll be a big ask no matter who they sign.

The way I see it, the highest placed teams QPR (14pts) can realistically catch are Southampton and Newcastle (both 21pts). The next step up is Fulham and Sunderland (both 25pts) which seems a bridge too far with sixteen games remaining.

This means that QPR on fourteen points need to finish ahead of at least three of:

Reading 16pts
Villa 19pts
Wigan 19pts
Newcastle 21pts
Southampton 21pts

Can they do it?

Can they feck; they're fecking shit.

I think you have what it takes to be an agent!

For all we know it may be a loan, which would actually make an awful lot of sense for all involved.

I was listening to Talksport a while ago and they had a journalist on saying that's he going to be getting £80,000 a week, I don't believe that, and there's a release clause in the contract if everything goes wrong, which it will.

It seems extremely unlikely, but based on this season..would getting in front of Wigan, Villa and Reading really be classed as impossible? I wouldn't rule it out, in fact I think it's worth a cheeky bet that they beat the drop.

Now in practice, they have a mountain to climb and I think Redknapp was brought in about 4 months too late so despite all the money spent, they really need a miracle. It's a joke that they can just throw around millions though, look at Wigan they'll struggle to replace a £4m defender for the next 4-5 months (who let his old club keep his contracted cut of the fee paid). Putting that into the equation I really hope Wigan pull it off and QPR get sent down with the door slammed shut.

It's going to be tough for QPR. They have a more experienced manager then Reading or Aston Villa. Redknapp probably is the best manager of all the teams in the bottom half, and he has been there before. Although Martinez is probably just as experienced with relegation fights

They'll be better then Reading and Aston Villa, but Wigan is only going to get better when they start to get healthy and get Kone back, same with Newcastle (despite losing their captain). They need to overtake Southampton, which well be fine, because then Gaston Ramirez can move to a real club and it'll be interesting to see what he can do

Really wouldn't mind seeing QPR go down though, the bastards

Any decent manager would take QPR to safety - they have that now. Yes they are in a bad position - but on paper, their team is a lot better than any team down there. Still everyone make it sound like it's impossible to catch teams 5-6 points ahead of them ?

Harry will see them to safety

United preparing a bid = Glazer sliding his hand down the gaps in his sofa and seeing what he can pull out.
