It's the blue moon rubbish account, can't remember who on here runs it, I always think its solius for some reason

Ahh that explain how I ended-up following them then; I don't follow any of those wums.

RT @mikekeeganmen: SAF tells MUTV "We definitely won't be buying anyone else." #mufc

To be fair, Handanovic is bloody brilliant. Understandable to pick him over Cesar.

Yup, Handanovič has been the best GK in Serie A for around 2 years now already, it's just always been a problem for him to move on to a bigger club and make a name for himself, cause if we're being honest, a lot of people underrate him or have just barely/never heard of him, because he played for Udinese, watch his profile go up now that he's @ Inter, next season should be "his" season in terms of making it, since this year Inter missed out on the CL.

RT @neilashton_: Chelsea have a new right back. Cesar Azpilicueta has signed and will train with new team-mates this morning.

Anyone else quite enjoy the fact we've not signed a central Mid? Watching some of you muppets crying over it and implying Fergie's dumb is quite hilarious.

Fergie did say that we need to add to cm mate :p

No he didn't. He said we had an issue there. It was a rallying call to the midfielders we have. It was aimed at Carrick who he said starts slow, he doesn't think he does' "but I do". He was trying to get him to focus from the off. He then went on to list the other 4 midfielders as well as saying that Powell will play there.

He talks as if he has enough players, that isn't the issue so adding isn't the answer. The focus on that talk was to put the ball in the court of the players, to rise to the challenge.

The trouble against Everton wasn't not having Carrick in midfield, it was that Carrick wasn't a good enough centre back to handle Fellani. With 4 centre backs out injured do you really think "signing a midfielder" would have solved that problem?

Yeah, because Fergie obviously doesn't want to buy a CM anyway. Its not like he's had to resort to desperate measures like dragging Scholes out of retirement due to a probable lack of finance.

Around £50 million spent in area's other than midfield, for the second year in a row = we have no money. Ok then.

Your username is the most fitting i've seen here yet.

Van Persie - £24m + £10m/year for 4 years = £64m

You think that if he felt it was a priority he wouldn't have spent that on a midfielder?

For what it's worth we have spent over £100m in the last 2 summer transfer windows and committed well over £150m more in wages.

Lack of funds. Gormless indeed.

Scholes asked him if he could re-join, NOT the other way around. Desperation my arse.

And I'm not chuffed that we're going to go another season short in central midfield, I'm just chuffed because I know how ridiculously angry it's making you all.

We'll be fine, chillax.

I hope you enjoy us going another year without the European Cup.
The league's the priority, anything else would just be a bonus. It's not our divine right to win it.

Nobody has a divine right to win it but we have given ourselves no chance of winning it by going into yet another season with no competition or cover for the role that Carrick plays. Personally I am expecting City to win the league as well.

Hearing on twitter, despite the comments about "no one in" ... that we are still after a midfielder and CB (one person went as far as to say the CBs we are looking at are English and foreign). That 'ITK' is usually reliable. https://twitter.com/FreddieBoswell7

Anyone have any idea as to who we would be looking at? I don't play FM these days and could careless about other leagues (unless I know we have been linked to someone specific).

We've got a squad, and we're in the competition. We've got as much of a chance as any team, that's the beauty of football.

I suppose it's possible we could fluke it like Chelsea did but as Manchester United we should be in a better position than that.
Why though? That sounds like "divine right" again. We're only as good as the squad we have, and we're still one of the best clubs in the world.

I know it sounds really strange and unusual, but as a United fan I'm happy.

I'm not exactly sure where this piece of news originated from, but from reading newsfeeds of some folk who seemed to know quite a bit about Hector Herrera - it is said that he'll stay at Pachua for another 6 months, and we'll have first option to sign him up in January. May have been from this guy:

Roberto López Olvera ‏@LopezOlvera

Héctor Herrera jugará al menos seis meses más en Pachuca, pero hay un acuerdo entre directivas para que en diciembre pueda sumarse al #MUFC

Roberto López Olvera ‏@LopezOlvera

Héctor Herrera stays at Pachuca at least until December but #MUFC wants to buy the mexican player in the next transfer window.

Apparently he's some Mexican football expert.

Yeah Ive been seeing that, would make sense if we are indeed in for him, As he is injured and we wait until Jan we wont have to worry about him being cup tied for europe

Won't be easy if other clubs know now there is a player called Hector Herrera and is wanted by Manchester United.

Is there an English CB good enough to reinforce our backline?

Wow. Do people really believe we need another centre back? We have a great selection, they're just injured.

What half decent centre back would sign for us for a secured spot for a month or two and then be 4th or 5th in the pecking order?

Apparently Sahin will cost Liverpool £5m plus a percentage of his wages, for a 1 year loan. No buyout fee.
