You can't believe that a guy who was nineteen years old eleven years ago is now thirty years old?

I used to sign Tino Asprilla on Premier Manager on the Megadrive in 1996, yet I remain open to the fact that the guy's probably in his forties by now.

Haha, nob

I can't believe that period of time was over a decade ago. Yes you'd think the 01/02 would have been a give away.

Drenthe supposed to be signing for West Ham, they better hope Morrison doesn't get pally with him. Lucky he's on loan to Birmingham!

Shit's in Spanish, gotta be true.

@CheGiaevara Sir Alex brother have the final report about the transfer. We have a reliable source around the business.

Herrera seems like a tidy player, with agood enegine who keeps it simple, and passes quickly, something kagawa was screaming for on Monday

Apparently he'll be announced in the next few hours as a united player. So are all you muppets happy now? We signed both a left back and a midfielder, in addition to Kagawa and Rvp.

Seeing we needed additions in those two positions had nothing to do with muppetry, and I think most will need to see Herrara play before they can say if they are happy since his first name isn't Ander.

How is he supposed to get a work permit?

Same way we got one for Henriquez and Hernandez before him.

Have only watched the Olympic final and didn't pay too much attention to him but if we sign this lad I'll be delighted. Sounds exactly what our midfield needs, that's if he's any use anyway... If we sign him this has been the best summer of dealings we've had in recent times, for me.

Pity he keeps slowing down when he runs up to a player though.

depends on the instructions from his coach, he was playing on the right of midfield 3 (well it seemed that way), maybe he was to give a bit of width and just press and cut off passing angles, they knew if u got too tight to the likes of Neymar that they would rip them a new one (a bit like Chelsea played vs Barca but with more purpose on the counter attack).

So maybe his job was to just keep pressuring Brasil to pass to their least effective players, who would do the least damage. It seemed to work as Oscar had to come almost into Mexico's half to try and make a difference and Neymar was pretty ineffective. Only until Hulk came on did they get any penetration, even then they soaked up the pressure well. In that match Herrera seemed to be willling to receive the ball by getting into space and then he was not greedy he passed quickly to keep attacks flowing.

all in all, he looks to have a better 1st touch than gibson, so that's a start, ;), and rarely got caught on the ball. he should improve by training with Carrick and scholes; if we sign him, i trust Fergie to have done his homework, and i just hope that this is not a Poborsky style signing, but one we've done our homework on, maybe Hernandez had a hand in him getting United's attention.

Well when we signed Van Persie everyone was complaing about us needing a left back and a central midfielder... and we signed players in both.

The gist: Hector Herrera close to being a done deal, an announcement will be made soon. United's bid is €13.5M which would make him the most expensive Mexican player in history.

Nery Castillo is the Mexico's most expensive player in history. Shakthar bought him for 20m Euros. I think he's the most expensive player to be bough from Mexican League.

Did he play against Senegal at Wembley? Can't say I remember him if he did. Much rather we signed Jorge Enrique  Tall, good in the tackle, quick, good positioning, a good touch and an eye for a pass.

If we get this guy, I'll be extremely happy with this transfer window.

I don't care that I've never heard of him or Buttner, they play in positions that we need :D

Haha, slight slip there. I know Pete doesn't have any credibility!

So yeah, I'll try again. The story of the imminent signing of a young mexican midfielder, any credibility?

Imminent.

Credibility.

His clubs director says we've made our interest known. The player says he has not spoken to anyone.
