FFS Brophs, what's said in a PM should stay in a PM

Lurking. All these new posters make me nervous + they don't like my beard

I like beards, they rock, IMO.

Look, I've told you before, I'm not starting a gay breakaway website with you. You'll just have to learn to love them.

That picture haunts me, man. I didn't even know you could bend it that way, much less fit it in there.

The rest of this conversation made me hard and more than a little moist at the tip.

Arsenal have received bids for Robin van Persie from Manchester United, Manchester City and Juventus via BBC #afc #mufc #mcfc

 How can "do not want" be the reply to a striker who has arguably been the best in the world for the last 18 months?

ARGH!!! HE'S NOT A CM!!!!! :wenger::mad:

You need to learn that with the Caf, we could sign Messi, Ronaldo and Modric in one transfer window, and most people would still not be happy!

Yup, and I can see where they're coming from ... but as you suggest, some people need to make exceptions for the possibility of having a world class striker who is miles better than Hernandez and Welbeck (at the moment), and who could mould an unbelievable partnership with Rooney. We'd have four strikers if and when Berbatov leaves (excluding Macheda), so they'll all get plenty of playing time.

He hasn't been injured (just slight knocks) in 18 months and has scored a gazillion goals since then. I'm not a transfer muppet, but our options would be unreal... Rooney, RVP, Welbeck, Hernandez, Kagawa, Nani, Valencia, Young... that's eight players for four spots. I guess we wouldn't be signing Lucas if RVP comes in...

Still can't see Arsenal selling to us, they'll feed our neighbours once again.

Maybe Fergie just wants to meet him in person, look him in the eyes and say "do not want!".

But I'd say he's probably helping out his old friend Wenger by driving up the price a bit. I'm sure after Pogba's case he doesn't like Juve too much either.

Or it could be that we haven't made a bid and it's all a lie. In any case, we don't really need him and SAF has said we won't spend big money on players over 26-27 years.

Exactly, but people don't seem to see that! Berbatov will leave, there is no doubt about that, that leaves us with 3 first team strikers at the club (again excluding Macheda, who will probably leave on loan) whom of which Rooney is the oldest. Not only would a RVP / Rooney partnership potential be one of the most lethal in the league, it also benefits us with having a more experienced striker at the club - and people complaining about Welbeck's development if we sign him, just think of the influence a player like RVP could have on him. A signing like RVP would benefit this club not just on the pitch, but off it too!

Sadly you have to pay over the odds for top talents/players usually.

Cass testing the waters of SAF again I see then

Whats this Welbeck contract stories aswell? I know SAF mentioned talks havent progressed, but he is on holidays after all. Twitter and reports making another meal of it to sell some papers.

Great sit down with Fergie. Worth waiting for. He looks totally releaxed. Looks like he's got everything under control.

Bob's beginning to 'sound' a bit like TheBig_Sam.

Why do people keep saying that? How much playing time did Berbatov get last year? Even Hernandez probably felt he didn't play enough.

Bob Cass with his pretend ITK nonsense again.

CAF cynicism/paranoia again!

Bob Cass is highly unlikely to be lying about doing an interview with SAF as it would simply be absurd for him to do so.

It would also be perfectly logical for SAF to let the press know that he 'isn't bothered' if we don't sign those players as two of the clubs are taking the piss with their demands.

If he has had an interview with Fergie, and I doubt he would lie. Then he has probably released exactly what Fergie wants him to release. I don't think he would be stupid enough to wind Fergie up again.

Because Fergie clearly didn't fancy him. Hernandez played plenty enough to be able to prove himself, but imo didn't take his chances. Yorke, Cole, Sheringham, Solskjaer - all in their prime and all satisfied to a degree, as long as they took their chances as they came.

So thats fergie basically saying take it or leave it guys...

There obviously all trying to squeeze out the last bit of money, just hope that nobody else comes in for Lucas.

Fergie initially denied saying anything about van Persie, until it was pointed out to him there were quotes from him on MUTV about it #MUFC
