If Gago was signed by us, nodoubt people would've complained about signing average players. Canales whilst being talented is also injury prone.

Canales was on loan last season with a higher buyout than that on his own. I havent seen anything from a reputable source that Valencia have signed him long term, at least yet. But if if they did get both players for that amount its nothing but good value

Really not excited about this Lucas speculation, should be as he's got great potential but it's the though of us not needing him really. Much rather get a CM and with us having Nani, Valencia, Young, Kagawa, Rooney and a few others who can play attacking mid it does make me wonder how we will all fit them in and keep them happy.
We didn't need Rooney in '04 when we had Van Nistelrooy and Saha either mate and look how that turned out, pretty good I'd say
