Also bear in mind his wages which I'm sure will be around the £100k mark. Committing to this over say a 3-4 contract would be £15-20m alone, this would put a lot of clubs off (especially if the fee was > £10m).

Never really rated him all that much, though I didn't see a lot of him last season with Roma.
