Trump/Russia/SDNY investigation

Trump probably won't be too bothered if his family get caught up in this - won't be the first time he's seen Ivanka in handcuffs.

Trump Jail™ being trademarked as we speak.

Ridiculous. I don't understand why any president gets to have the authority to block something which politically embarrasses him. Hell, why not just make him king and have done with it?

He'll drag it out 'til the 5th night.

What are the chances the House overrules Trump (if he refuses)? Interesting dilemma for him. I guess a huge GOP majority is his safety net.

Not sure, although Trump will look guilty as feck of plotting all of this to help him deflect from the Mueller investigation if he doesn't approve the Dem memo after approving his own (Nunes) memo a few days ago.

And then block it calling it “another dem manufactured fake dossier”.

Either way he's fecked.

Block it and look ridiculously guilty of attempting to hide the truth

Allow it and look ridiculously guilty of attempting to deceive the public

He'll ok those Russia sanctions any day now.

CNN are finally sniffing out a story on Nunes coordinating with the White House. This should be good.

Is this imminent...do I need to make the popcorn and crack a beer open. Would be sweet if Nunes gets wrapped up in the Muller investigation and obstruction charges.

They are only starting to look into it. Apparently each time he's asked about it, he gives a lawyerly response, suggesting he's hiding something since he could just squash the issue once and for all by issuing an outright denial.

Chances that Trump will create another big controversy and use that as a "smokescreen" when he decides to turn it down?

Trump will delete the tweets referring to Nunes and then tweet something like "Nunes just talked to some lowly WH cook (who is African American btw!) - always said he was bad for America!"

He'll probably claim that Nunes was an African American cook.

Think this has been the biggest eye-opener for me throughout this thing, I never knew the US President was so protected from the law.

I wouldn't bet against it but it would have to be something massive to distract from the memo business. I don't think the media will forget about it or push it to the side no matter what, it's too big of a story by now.

Was thinking he might flood people with information to the point where they (average Joe) aren't interested in more news.

Here's Schiff talking about how Nunes answeres the questions about him working with the WH in regards to the memo. Starts around the 1min mark.

For fecks sake. Here we go again... attack the FBI, include Hillary and Obama and spin it right round so if any convictions do come, then many will believe it is rigged.

Also, this loony toons moron is getting a show on Fox News late on Sundays. Ugh.

BOOM! Muthafecking BOOM!

Game Over.

And there you have why he's been projecting "Treason" upon all his enemies recently.

It's worth noting that the dirt on Clinton isn't just dirt on a civilian opponent. It's illegally obtained emails that belonged to an acting Secretary of State.

It's not just the count of treason for trading items of value with a hostile foreign state they need to be worrying about here, it was a direct attack against the US Government.

Could some kind person explain why the above is important, please?

They're literally offering (not being asked) to change US laws in Russia's favour if they received info about Clinton.

Then again, dopey Don Jr. was the one offering, meaning it's par for the course, so I'm kinda asking the same question as you.

Isn't it Trump jnr though, Pexy?

Like i've said before, Don't trust what the likes of Dworkin are telling you.

People will have seen that tweet and think it was a new bombshell development when its nothing of the sort.

I generally ignore Dworkin and Abramson. In fact, most of the anti-Trump accounts are starting to get a bit tedious. Prefer mainstream news sources.

Has anyone given a thought about the timeline for the FISA-Page thing? I surely hadn't.. But WP wrote an article where it states that the FISA application was sought one month after the Trump campaign desperately tried to convince everyone that Page was never a part of it in the first place. This seems to have been completely overlooked by most people, at least from what I've seen.

Here's the link (you can get around the block by opening the link in incognito mode/private browsing)
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...on-the-trump-campaign/?utm_term=.2fdc35d26636

For those of you who can't be bothered, here's the conclusion:
"In other words, the surveillance began long after Page had supposedly left the campaign. Trump denies he ever met or spoke to Page. So it’s hard to see how a court order on a former campaign adviser — less than three weeks before the election — would constitute spying on the campaign."

I'd love to see Huckabee try to spin that one.

I thought they were interesting at first. After that Abramson guy started pumping out Twitter threads that reached 100 Tweets, I well and truly knew he was up his own ass. If he's forging a career for himself, fair play, but I can't be assed reading all of that crap.

Definitely. Right after the election especially, many of these accounts were interesting. Now that the media have taken over covering the Russia investigation these accounts have become a bit pointless.
