Its fairly well known there is a relationship between the two. Hannity has visited Assange at the Embassy to do interviews and Farage has gone there as well.

The information flow has generally been GRU----> Assange <-- Farage/Hannity

Yeah It's not been a secret obviously but Hannity has always appeared to be on the fringe with little evidence and implication of his involvement. As you say known relationships but there's been little proof of how involved he actually is and of anything illegal. I just hope more comes out and enough to bury him.
 


Word is Dworkin is usually full of shit, but this would be Presidential suicide surely? Hopefully this is just rumour and bad info, but shit it would be huge if true. Outrageous and the thing is, nobody could put this past Trump.

The most interesting thing I took from it was that Assange was dropping news on Warner before Warner announced he had seen significant documents regarding the investigation.

That suggests that either:

1. WikiLeaks/Russian hackers are monitoring significant channels and picked up chatter about what Warner would be about to reveal.

2. Someone in the Senate familiar with the investigation has been leaking to Assange to keep them ahead of the news cycle and tipped them off about Warner’s upcoming announcement. Assange naturally wanted Hannity to start working the smear campaign.

With the shape of the house as far as I know they would only need a handful of Republicans to work with them to elect Mueller outside of the exec branch jurisdiction? Or would it need the ranking majority leader or the speaker to initialise it? McConnell might be persuaded if he thought he could swap Trump for Pence?

My grandchildren are never going to believe the shit that went on in this country. Hopefully they'll tell me: "shut up grandpa, as if people would be so stupid to elect that someone like that as President" and I'll just nod and smile.
 
The difference to 1974 is that Republicans had an ounce of conscience back then. The current ones are just a bunch of crooks.

If there is no response to Trump refusing to impose the Russia sanctions, the GOP Congress have turned over full control to him. That is depressing. I held out some hope that they'd have no choice but to stop protecting him as more information came to light and he continued his indefensible behavior but unfortunately the supporters in the GOP have grown in number, not decreased. It legitimately feels like a tipping point, in the wrong direction.

I remember the pictures from when Trump met Obama at the White House after the election. He looked liked he'd seen a ghost. The reality that he would have to be President and do President things was setting in. Meanwhile, McConnell and Ryan were grinning from ear to ear. They were getting what they wanted, even if it wasn't exactly how they wanted it. I think there was a worry from the establishment GOP that Trump would be the populist he claims. But of course he's been a GOP Lobbyist's dream, selling out the poor and middle class in every way imaginable. All they had to give him in exchange was free reign for his hateful rhetoric and divisive policies. Since that doesn't affect them, why stop now?

As established in Swiss court papers, a top federal investigator, known only as Victor K. due to Swiss privacy laws, in late December 2016 was lured to Moscow to meet with Veselnitskaya. For years, K. had been the lead investigator of Russian organized crime and financial malfeasance in Switzerland. His supervisors forbade K. from traveling to Moscow, given his position, but he did so anyway, in secret. I'm just waiting for someone else to magically get deathly ill or shoot himself in the back of the head. Seems the stakes here are so high that at the very least some people are getting some serious threats made against them.
 
If not anything else, at least this case reinforces the importance of international police / counter-espionage cooperation. :lol:
