Well first I have a hard time believing this thing even exists in the first place. But assuming it did, I have a hard time seeing how it is supposed to be such powerful leverage. All he would have to do is make up some story about being tricked. I don't think even if it was true it would change the opinion of any of his base anyway. I mean all the stuff about porn star affairs and such haven't even moved the dial with his base so I can't see this revelation changing anything even if it was proven 100%. You'd have half his base saying it was doctored evidence paid for by Hildawg and the other half is going to shrug and say who cares?
A video tape of such an event would be devastating for him. Especially as it’s unlikely he would be fully dressed...can’t even bear to think what might follow the peeing.

Yeah that’s the crux of it. There’s so much focus on him dictating two prozzys doing that stuff but it completely ignores the reason he’s asking them to do it - so he can get off.

No matter what images the mind could conjure up the actual reality would likely be far worse. Ugh! He would move heaven and earth to prevent any such images from being aired. Just as most of us would. If they do exist (in whatever form) their release would most definitely be the end of him.
It would take a combination of things to be devastating though. More even than just proveing that such a tape exists. As I said half his base is going to disbelieve it right off the bat, you already have right wing media propagating the idea its all made up BS anyway. And then the other half is really not going to care, they'll say so what, who cares what weird fetishes people have, where is your tolerance, etc.
To actually change anyone's mind on Trump that supports him I think you need to make this available for the public and then show evidence that Russia (Or Saudis or someone else) was using it to leverage policies from Trump. Even then I think you'd have many Republicans just claiming its fake and photoshopped.
I don't know, maybe I am cynical but I just don't think this is going to amount to anything that could really hurt Trump. I could be wrong, maybe this will be his Berlesconi 17-year old scandal that sinks him. I will definitely tag you that you were right and I was surprised that all this amounted to something real.

I should add I would not be surprised if he is already compromised in some way by at least 3 different foreign nations I just don't think we'll find any real proof of this emerge for another 10-15 years.

I'd assume that decency laws are in place in the US and UK so that we'd never see the tape on the news. Which poses the problem of a whole bunch of people still claiming it's fake news. Best (or worst depending on your gag reflex) case scenario is whoever has it releases it on the web and it's irrefutably Trump and whoever/whatever so it can't be called fake.

The filing to me read like exactly the same style of language and argument that far right twitter trolls, bots and trump apologists have been using which should come as no surprise considering it’s a filing on behalf of Concord.
Note that the subject of the argument is the special counsel trying to block the defense’s (Concord’s) right for discovery as the special counsel believes that it will be abused and used to selectively leak and shape narratives. Also note that this is exactly the tactic the Trump Admin has already taken only using Nunes as a source rather than discovery.
They know they are not going to be successful with their appeal so the appeal itself is what they are using for their misinformation campaign. It’s an official court document which is scathing in its attack and ridicule of Mueller and his investigation and describes a lawless rogue agent who is not working by the book and is actually making up laws as he goes along. It’s exactly the narrative Fox and Friends, Bill Mitchell and Jacob Wohl have been spewing for months and it will be be used by them in the future too.
It will he rebuked by the judge and all I have mentioned will be dismissed but it will resonate with that side of the fence and the judge’s dismissal will only serve as proof of the deep state operation to them.
