Trump/Russia/SDNY investigation

he will try and distract further by asking money to build a wall with Canada.

We already have plans for an unkempt privacy hedge. We'll take whatever money you guys wanna chip in. By the way, we're outsourcing the care and maintenance of the hedge to Mexican labourers.

“Put up or shut up”? Mueller hasn’t uttered a word.

Giuliani is nothing more than a reality TV lawyer . He can put on as much of a show as he likes ,but it will not help him or Trump.

There really no law involved with Rudy’s participation. He’s little more than a propagandist whose sole intent is to muddy the waters on Trump’s behalf.

Lawyer for the court of public opinion.

His main tactic has been to reveal the worst so it comes from them before it gets released in court documents. That way they hope people say “ah well it can’t be that bad, Rudy already told us about that and said it’s normal”.

Put up or shut up.

The wait to see what drops when is killing them far more than it is us lot and that's saying something.

Must be excruciatingly tense in the WH at the minute. Lovely.

It's December 31. Where ya at Avenatti?

That ship has sailed yesterday already («before»). Don't think anything is going to happen today either, since hardly anybody will show up at work today even less so the relevant people. That one was a shot in the dark and it proved unreliable.

I think Avenatti is right in Jr having an indictment sitting over his head and has good sources on it too. I think he just didn’t calculate in Mueller’s care in tiptoeing around the orange bear and it’s pups until it’s the perfect time to strike.

You might well be right. It's just that engaging in speculation the way Avenatti did, in itself, is not exactly an honest activity. I mean what was the point of publishing that tweet?

Imo it proves the people right, that always had doubts about Avenatti's integrity. Correct me if I'm wrong but he doesn't have a lot going for himself at the moment does he? Last thing I heard about the Stormy Daniels case was her losing, the Kavanaugh thing he took part in was an utter failure to begin with, same goes for his presidential ambitions ... the guy crashed heavily. He does have a decent appearance on TV and probably (on a superficial level) somewhat supportable political views but with that snake oil salesman image he's not going anywhere.

Avenatti might be a good lawyer but he's a publicity whore doing what he does solely for attention and self interest. He's provided a few funny moments but he's nothing more than a distraction really.

In practical terms when would Mueller have to file against trump?

Wasn't there a period of a few months prior to the midterms they had to effectively slow the investigation or at least what could be seen publicly in case it influenced the election?

Now the republican primaries start in Feb 2020 so presumably if trump was to have a challenger there then the same rules would apply and carry on through till after the november elections?

So in practical terms does that imply he needs to have formal charges in place by around november 2019

Basically a little over 40 weeks... Is that realistically enough time ... Given that I expect every blocking and slowing mechanism available to trump and the GOP to be fully utilised.

Greatly limited surely by losing the house? Schiff's committee are going to be revealing stuff too damning to obfuscate I'd imagine.

Yeah he’s a real greaseball of a lawyer but I like him purely for how much he trolls Trump.

On the 3rd the new Congress is sworn in (I think) and now that the Christmas break is over Schiff etc will be able to put their plans into motion. Hopefully, after this Supreme Court challenge is dealt with, Mueller will feel free to move on with those sealed indictments that have been waiting to be served.

The investigation’s planned course of events was no doubt held up in part by Trump’s delayed answers to Mueller’s questions and there will probably be other WH delays in the pipeline, but I’m expecting some good progress within the next few weeks.

Anyone who thinks Trump is going to fight all these fires and win is having a laugh.

Good to hear.

To be honest, she danced around the subject.

She should be saying 'yes he can be indicted whilst sitting' and ramming that point home.

Yes, it opens America up to constantly indict a sitting President for political reasons and I know that's what they're afraid of it turning into so they never commit to the idea but make it a high enough bar for indictment evidence wise and every President would be protected unless they were the same kind of shitstain that Trump is.

The President is not a king/queen, don't treat them like one.

Putin must be bricking it as to what Butina may have told US authorities about other Russian operations in the US during her guilty plea. The Whelan charade is merely his attempt to expedite her return.
