Pap seems to be considering withdrawing his guilty plea on the basis that he was set up by British and Australian intelligence at the behest of Obama officials opposed to his oil manoeuveeings in the Middle East which would have upset the Iran deal. Or something like that.
Its a bit late in the game to be withdrawing his plea since he's already been sentenced.

I think the Russia collusion thing is a smoke screen for Trump and even the media is in on it. Mueller is going after the Trump empire which would put Trump between a rock and a hard place.

It's nearly impossible to forget something that you've been charged with in this investigation. Discovery would ensure that your lawyer would know what Mueller's investigation has. I'll bet perjury is the lesser evil for every single one of these pricks.
Just a hunch, but I have a feeling the reason he was trying to delay his prison sentence is because he didn’t want to uphold his side of the plea deal. If he served the minimal sentence, the admission of guilt would be set in stone and if he went on to refuse to appear as a witness as per terms of the plea deal they would start the entire process again and pursue the maximum sentence for him.
By putting it off, I think he’s waiting for Trump and Whitaker to play their hand.
