Trump/Russia/SDNY investigation

I don't think it's alpha to fire a subordinate who wants to fire you. Obama fired a general who shit-talked him (can't remember the name)
In Trump's mind, firing peope is alpha behaviour. He has outdated ideas about manliness.

Trump's fanbase is happy anyway (see comments on this youtube video). Comment about the swamp draining being in effect makes me laugh seeing as Trump was the one who hired him in the first place.

Even if he sacks him at this point, the likelihood of Trump getting a yes man past nomination before the midterms is very slim.

"Helloooo! My name is Judge Tronald Dump!"

Listening to the nytimes daily podcast, apparently Rosenstein thought he could recruit Sessions and Kelly to invoke the 25th.

Damn in the end Michael asks if Rod Rosenstein could have written the nytimes oped and the reporter of the article says it could still be anyone as multiple senior officials openly discussed the 25th amendment in the first three months.

Even if it's Rosenstein trying to play at being fired (which shouldn't be too hard - just call the man a mushroom head or something in case he s thinking about what brother Hannity told him to do) - why would he steer at doing it the same day as the Kavanagh harassment testimony?

Of course Rosenstein is still a republican himself and he may want Kavanagh confirmed as well so just because he is anti Trump, doesn't mean he is anti party.

Just further confirms what a piece of shit McConnell is and what a terrible organisation the GOP are.

As long as Schumer is Vice Chair wouldn't hold my breath on McConnell.

Saw that yesterday. For things that are pretty rare occurrences they do always seem to happen to some unusually convenient victims in Russia.

Seems like a standard tactic to murder their own spies once they have done Putin's dirty work so that they can't one day defect or otherwise spill the beans.

I don't understand McConnell's end game or what really drives him. The man is old enough and his wife is filthy rich to not need more money or whatever kickbacks he gets from the lobbyists who set his agenda.

It's either he truly believes in this agenda (i.e. protect the Caucasian evangelicals and corporate interests), or he's a type that just wants to watch the world burn.
