Trump/Russia/SDNY investigation

That's uncanny.

Quality piece

It's an interesting theory but I'd wager that if any kompromat exists it would show Trump as financially weak (i.e broke and hemorraghing money) and that his bombast about being a wealthy and successful busniessman is all bluster. That would be more damaging to his image with his base than financial crimes, against which he could use his "that makes me smart" mantra.

The fact that he refuses to release his taxes suggests there's some sort of financial crimes exposure imo. Probably related to laundering money by way of oligarchs buying his property at exorbitant prices.

I think it's more likely that his tax returns show him to be a colossal failure. Image is everything to him. He can weasel his way out of criminal activity but to be shown up as a failure and a poseur would be too much shame for him to handle.

That said, the combination of being broke and reduced to engaging in money laundering to fund your lavish lifestyle is probably a winning combo.

After declaring bankruptcy so many times, I don't think an American bank would loan him a cent. That would have forced him into the hands of some shady people. Think Jr once said 90% of their finance comes from Russia.

I was trained at NSA headquarters as a signals intelligence officer in the Marines. This was about a decade ago, and I was by no means an area specialist. That said, I was privy to relevant briefs. At the time I learned that U.S. cyber operations in Russia, across Russia’s periphery, and around the world already dwarfed Russian operations in size, capability, and frequency. It wasn’t even close, and the expectation was that the gap was about to grow a whole lot wider.

Electoral meddling in particular happens all the time, both to us and by us. The U.S. government rigged the Russian election for Yeltsin in 1996, and then they bragged about it in a cover story for Time. (You can still find the cover online.)

Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton is happily on record pushing for the tampering of Palestinian elections in 2006.

As the political scientist Dov H. Levin has shown, between 1946 and 2000, the United States government conducted at least 81 electoral interventions in other countries, while Russia conducted at least 36. This does not include the U.S. government’s violent overthrow of dozens of governments during this same period, including democratic governments in places like Iran (1953), Guatemala (1954), Congo (1960), Brazil (1964), and Chile (1973). As recent as 2009, Hillary Clinton’s State Department played a complicit role in the brutal deposition of democratically elected president Manuel Zelaya’s government in Honduras.

In 1999, President Clinton sent three advisers to Israel to try to swing the country’s elections for Ehud Barak. The New York Times reported that they were “writing advertisements, plotting strategy and taking polls” for the candidate. Imagine what the reaction would be if Putin had literally dispatched three top deputies to join the Trump campaign.

It’s a form of warfare, no doubt about it. The US hasn’t been shy about open acts of violent war in the name of their agenda so why wouldn’t they partake in digital warfare? I’m not sure it’s really hypocritical to protect against attacks on their own democratic systems by an adversary, just as it’s not hypocritical to protect against more physical acts of war.

In fact, in the intelligence community, I’m sure they’d have a good laugh at the concept of hypocrisy. Every intelligence service is monitoring and hacking every other intelligence service, after all.

Christopher Hitchens had many interesting things to say about the Clinton family.

...and he's a more serious politician.

It’s a characteristic of a superpower. Do everything in your power to keep your position of power among the world, but with your own style applied. With that in mind, I find a lot of the political commentators’ complaints regarding Russian meddling to be cringeworthy. The ones I’ve seen on CNN take it so personally as if we’re the beacon of what is ethical. “They attacked our democracy!!!” Like seriously, gtfo of here with that drama

Said he wasn't an advisor.
Tapper read his own words saying he was an advisor .
Insisted on the lie.

Twat 'considering revoking security clearances of critical ex-officials,' says childish sycophant
Donald Trump is considering revoking the security clearance of several top Barack Obama-era intelligence officials who have been sharply critical of his presidency, the White House said on Monday.

Press secretary Sarah Sanders told reporters that former CIA director John Brennan, former FBI director James Comey and former national intelligence director James Clapper could be stripped of their status.

“They’ve politicised and in some cases monetised their public service and security clearances,” Sanders said during the daily briefing. “Making baseless accusations of improper contact with Russia, or being influenced by Russia, against the president is extremely inappropriate and the fact that people with security clearances are making these baseless charges provides inappropriate legitimacy to accusations with zero evidence.”

His supporters wouldn't believe it though so it doesn't matter if he's broke and haemorrhaging money sadly

They'll believe it when Mar-a-Lago has a big feck off "Repossessed" sticker on the gates.

Fake news.

As @Florida Man says, if it gets reported by Fox, Breitbart, InfoWars, Drudge Report, etc it'll be the deep state trying to force Trump out of office by going after things unrelated to Russia because NO COLLUSION evidence has been found. It's just not going to land on them even if he ends up in prison, they're too far gone and sadly, they've got guns too.

Sarah Sanders was on Fox & Friends, claiming that the Mueller investigation is a hoax.

Yep. Just like the Loch Ness Yeti.

You have to say - Trump and Co are doing a formidable job making sure everyone is aware of the Mueller investigation and coming across as whining guilty as shit feckers.
