Trump/Russia/SDNY investigation

Suppose we now know the reason behind Trump's verbal sharting about the WaPo this morning.

Worthy of a look.

Mueller is likely aware of all the various financial entanglements between Trump, his associates and Russians. which is why he is going back to ask various witnesses about things that took place over a decade ago. For instance, the so called Taxi cab medallion business has been a known racket involving the Russian mob in NYC. Trump his kids and Kushner have been dealing with the Russians for at least a decade and its entirely possible that the web of relationships Trump established during that period led to some sort of quid pro quo with various intermediaries regarding the Wikileaks project in 2016. Time will tell.

I am between two minds right now.

One, I cannot wait for this asshat to flip as it could start agitating Trump so badly that a wonderful critical mass is reached, potentially mortally wounding Trump when he ultimately makes a real-time crucial mistake in a speech, in Twitter, a mass firing, etc.

But, I don’t want anything to knock the separated children off of the news roll for the foreseeable future, unless it is news of the cruel separations ending.

If ever there was a sign that Cohen will flip...

Was just about to post an article about this. It’s a clear signal to Trump imo. He’s challenging him publicly as if to say “I’m not singing off your hymn sheet anymore” in the hope it will shit him up a bit and get him to reach out to him and protect him.

It's kind of been lost in the past few days of, you know, child cages, but the NY AG filing against The Trump Foundation is amazing. The 'Foundation' basically broke every single law it's possible to break as a registered charity. That includes gathering funds from non-Trumps and then spending those on personal Trump things (famously, his $10k painting of himself, which was found in one of his resorts); paying for items on his campaign; paying off legal settlements for his for-profit business; being a general slush fund for Trump and kids.

Finally, the last recorded board meeting of the Foundation was in 1998. Arguably the most important member of the board wasn't even aware he was on the board. Oh and all the kids are on the board, so are legally liable for malfeasance.

Trump appears to have thought his 'Foundation' meant a bank account that paid for stuff he thought he was non-profit. It's staggering just how many laws they broke.

But will anything be done? Doubtful right now, depressingly.
