Trump/Russia/SDNY investigation

I note that Trumpski didn't risk misspelling George's surname in his tweet.

Trump & Hannity obviously going for the 'they were young, and needed the money' defence.

Mueller got a judge to sign of a waiver for manafort's attorney-client privilege (crime-fraud exception). So far it's only speculation which lawyer is affected (maybe Melissa Laurenza).
That is pretty severe. The standards to get such a waiver are imo very high. Manafort is in serious trouble. Mueller is not fecking around.
Wow, did not think this was possible at all. Is it only in federal cases?

A law professor on Morning Joe just said Mueller may have insulated Manafort from a potential Trump pardon by pursuing financial crimes which get resolved at the state level, which Trump can't pardon.

It's a genuine shame that Trump blatantly considers his supporters to be idiots, judging by the way he's insulting their intelligence in those tweets. What a soulless conman.

His supporters are proving him right.

I don't think that it applies only to federal cases but I don't know enough about us law to say for sure.
It applies when the lawyer is used (in this case probably without her/his knowledge) to advance a crime/fraud or to obscure evidence.
As far as I understand it manafort used a lawyer to intentionally file false data to diminish his involvement in some of his activities (lobbying for Ukraine/Russian actors). The issue is that Mueller needs to provide solid evidence (there are varying opinions on what that exactly means) to get the waiver from a judge.

Trust me, I'd love for it to be that dramatic. I just thought once news broke of his arrest, everyone would just be turning down any communication from Papadopoulos.
Pretty sure his arrest was secret. The only info public about him before that broke in 2017 was him being in emails.

You have to admire this desperate attempt at deflection. Even children aren't this petty.

Yeah. He has to do it though, as saying nothing sort of leaves his flock of sheep in limbo since they usually expect him to push back hard when this sort of thing happens.

After nearly a year, it all still seems very surreal.

His tweets aren't for his supporters. They're just intended to anger liberal anti-Americans because...4D chess.

So Trump says that Papadopololupusus is a proven liar because he lied about his contacts with Russia, so by definition he admits that Kushner, Manafort, Flynn, Donnie Jr, Sessions, Page etc (and most definitely Trump himself) are also proven liars because they did the EXACT SAME THING.

I know for a fact that people are stupid enough to not see that but....how stupid do you have to be to not see that???!!

Sorry

The great thing is you can spell it however you want and everyone will know what you meant.

The simulation theory gets more likely by the minute.

A bloke sharing a surname with sharon papadopolous, which was a name used a gag for about 10 series of birds of a feather, is now a central figure in a plot by the russians to take control of the US executive.

The only possible explanation is that its a simulation, and some coder is having a right laugh.
