Transgender rights discussion

Trump won me over when he talked about the Sex of humanity. Only two sex and that's male or female you're either that or you're mentally Ill.

Anyone who disagrees with that can get feck for all I care.
May the holy ban hammer fall on your sorry ass if you truly meant what you wrote.

You mean to tell me that as babies, when the doctor brought them out of their mothers womb they had male and female Genitalia?

I don't believe a word written on there.
They don't have two sets of external genitalia. Sometimes the gentialia are ambiguous, sometimes they look like a girl externally but have rudimentary testes inside their bodies and no uterus. But it's something I've seen in my career as a midwife, so I can assure you that it's a thing. I even saw it in a teenage girl who came to clinic because she hadn't started menstruating. It turned out that she had no uterus and had testes inside her body.

This is not the same as feeling you are the opposite gender to the one you're assigned at birth, based on your external genitalia. It's always a mistake to start rubbishing things you don't actually know about, as it makes you look rather silly.

This in a nutshell is who voted for trump.

They do the same with climate and weather. trump's whole existence is based on misinformation and posters like the one above are sooo easy to convince. You can't even reason with them.

I'm genuinely so sick and tired of people like that, and they are absolutely everywhere. Even in "socialist" Norway! fecking everywhere.

There is no benefit to playing by the rules, when one side has openly embraced alternative facts. Trying to appeal to people's common sense clearly isn't working.
So we’ll all just make shit up and nothing will matter. Sounds great.

There will be plenty of people who still just want to be normal and work based off fact. To do anything else for me personally is complete madness.

I don’t think the Dem side could get away with this approach. They’re held to different standards.

do you mean when he said there are only two genders?

gender was somewhat of an election issue and discussion point, not biological sex

feck me sideways

There are state laws and exec orders in some blue and swing states that protect trans people. NY passed one by referendum during this election. A lot of Dem governors passed them in the last 2-3 years. No idea if they'll stand up in the Supreme Court at all.

With the Rs controlling all branches of government, they can simply create a national law that supersedes all states.

All I will say about this in general is that this issue is the obvious weak link in LGBT that is easy to target and relatively safe for lack of a better term to attack as like some massive issue. Even though the numbers are actually small. How has such a tiny concern in reality because such a huge political issue? People being accused in the Olympics of being a different gender. To being a huge political issue that was one of the most effective attack ads that Trump just used in his win.

I say "weak link" only because it is one of the least understood and easy to marginalize and attack because of that. Gay marriage is now much more accepted and too hard to openly go against in places where it is law. That doesnt mean the LGB part of the equation who may not be as palatable to openly attack is clear. We just fall under "woke" for attack. Until they can get back around to gutting our rights openly like transgender is the in vogue "threat".

not sure they;re getting 60 in the senate for this. especially given that both the red state dems (tester, manchin) are gone.

The one where she sits on the fence.

Not the thread, but the whole point was that she wasn't sitting on the fence; ceasing arms supplies and diplomatic support to one side (and not providing arms supplies or diplomatic support to the other side) is actual "sitting on the fence" -- and was the main demand of protestors.

Whatever, my point is that you reap what you sow if you can’t swallow your distaste for Kamala and the dems do what’s needed to keep the orange lunatic out of power.

She sat on the fence in the campaign. The other bit is Biden’s policy that she had no influence over.

Let's start a campaign to block circumcision and force them to be consistent.

While we re at it I want names of doctors that performed it on all the politicians etc. Also round up their parents for the greatest child mutilation campaign in the history of the country. We are talking millions upon millions of young boys. Most of whom barely out the womb.

In addition I want the names of all involved with abortions who are in government directly or indirectly. If they ever had a child aborted they cannot be in government.

Oh wait ...that wouldnt fit the hypocrisy? How convenient.

she explicitly rejected stopping arms sales and an arms embargo and also said she would keep the biden policy.
anyway, campaign is over. last 2.5 months of the biden presidency. no election constraints. let's see what both do :)

I will apply that argument to trans people or Latinos or Arabs voting for trump. I don't feel sympathy for them at all. All the leftists I follow on twitter do, and find it disgusting that liberals are celebrating breaking up MAGA families by deportation, but i don't. They literally voted for it and convinced themselves they are better than their peers who will be punished. For that anti-solidarity and arrogance, I don't give a feck if their lives are ruined.

For those who voted 3rd party (which, as is now evident, have made zero difference to the outcome of even a single state in the election, let alone the overall result), no, they voted a certain way, and the rest of their country didn't.

Do you hold Biden voters personally responsible for Israel killing a hundred thousand Palestinians, with weapons and diplomatic cover from Biden?

Anyway, the 3rd party argument is a bit funnier this time. There was exactly one guy here who voted 3rd party earlier and fell in line this time, and Kamala lost his state. The rest of the people here are perennial Dem loyalists or non-citizen US residents without a vote (like me).

I am not a fun of circumcision. It makes no sense to me for neither health nor religious purposes. I would not go on the streets to protest against it but there is something wrong with parents deciding to mutilate a child. Musk is interesting fella. For a smart guy, not sure how he got "tricked" into signing a document. Could have 7 lawyers explaining to him what he is signing.
I don't think anyone would call it fun

You should apply that exact same logic to anyone who didn’t vote for Harris. This was always a binary election. Choosing to not vote for Harris amounts to essentially the same thing as voting for Trump. So the shit their trans friends and family will now have to deal with is as much on their conscience as it is on anyone who voted for the evil prick.

EDIT: *almost as much

she tells the story completely differently strangely enough, and appears to be perfectly happy to have transitioned from I've read from her

Good for her! As long as she can't compete against other women in sports, I am very happy for her.

She explicitly rejected one side and affirmed the other. I gave specific policies she, in her campaign, promised she won't do. You are repeating the phrase "sat on the fence" without elaboration.

I'm not sure what you mean by "rejected by both" since those are foreign entities, but, assuming this is what you mean...
She got one of the highest Jewish vote shares ever (alongside Black voters, Jewish votes are the only ones that held up well for the Dems), and one the lowest Arab vote shares ever (taking the party back to pre-Bush numbers). This is in line with her policy statements, campaign outreach and choice of surrogates, which favoured Israel over Palestine.

As I said, once you start applying that, you have to hold everyone in this forum responsible for Biden's murder spree. And you don't seem interested in ever doing that analysis, so I don't think you argument is consistent or genuine.

Sat on the fence is in reference to her micro targeting Jews and Arabs with difference messages. It was discussed on the elections thread. Once she does that, all other arguments about her policies end.

Everyone in this forum? I’ve never voted in an American election. But I can tell you for an absolute fact that I would my bit to keep Trump out of power if I did. It’s not difficult. Just vote for the Democrat candidate. That’s all you need to do. And if you don’t then you share the blame for his evil policies.

And yes, we can all feel partially responsible for bad shit that’s done by someone we vote for (or, by not voting against, facilitate) The idea is to vote for the person who will do the least bad shit. And it’s rare enough to have such a barn door obvious decision as there was in this election.
