Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

I hope he is not our first priority for 9. I would rather have Auba, Lukaku, Lacazette, or Bellotti instead of Morata. Besides, Morata is very happy sitting in the RM bench, and also has the Italian gf to constantly complain about Manchester weather.

I think this story is being pushed by RM because they need to sell Moratta to make room for a possible bid on Mbappe.

Salah means bastard in Punjabi. I thought I'd throw that nugget of info in there.
Errr no it doesn't. First up what you're referring to is "Saala" not Salah. And secondly Saala means brother in law.
So when you say Saala Harami - it implies you're saying to the other person that you're married to his sister and that he is a also a bastard (harami).

Damn, i don't have anything to do.
What @snk123 said.

You are absolutely correct. Salah means "prayer" when pronounced as it should be in Arabic. Saala' is the punjabi, different enunciation and means what you said.

Douglas Costa for £40m could be an amazing deal if Mourinho can get the best out of him. At his best he's a very special player indeed.

MEN quote Martial's agent basically saying he is staying. :)

He needs to sort himself out though. He's got a lot of potential but I really think his confidence was knocked when he had to change his game to play under LVG. Can't be easy curbing your natural instinct to run at people and take them on. I remember when he signed and he was doing that all the time, the first thing I thought was 'LVG will put a stop to all of that' and I still think that might be what happened.

The very fact that Bayern are ready to sell him indicates something's wrong. Bayern wouldn't let him go without having a good reason to do it.

I'm convinced it has to do with his ex-girlfriend/fiance/whatever. When he came here from France there were articles about them grocery shopping and how she and his son kept his mind on football and his attitude good. Then he cheated on her and since then it's been all downhill for him. She's essentially been extorting him since he cheated and his family life (which was what kept him settled originally) is now a disaster. I don't know if it's me just playing too much the psychologist but I honestly think his issues are mental and I think that has at least something to do with it.

Think 40£ million for Bayern's Costa is a lot. He's unhappy at Bayern, they're unhappy with him, 30£ million and we can all celebrate.

As a transfer muppet, I'm hoping we get some good 'news' today.

I have reigned in my inner muppet a little now it seems there is no chance Bale is going anywhere.

Let's keep hold of DDG and get 3 or 4 quality signings in. Harry Kane not been linked in any tweets?

Oh there I go again.

Only 2 years left on Martial's contract. If we're not re-signing him up this year we all know what's going to happen next summer.

Honestly wouldn't mind those 2, but maybe a bit lower price, especially considering Sanchez lost value over the year. Of course, that's if Jose thinks Sanchez is worth it.

Yes, Jose was interested, so he probably sees something in Sanches.

As for the price. Bayern knows they would both be in demand if they decide to sell. 75 is a good price when the quoted figures for someone like Perisic are around 50.

You have a very creative imagination/memory.

lol, yeh that's the literal definition of it, but we use in slang terms to mean bastard/idiot. So go back to sleep!

I think if someone had told us a week ago that Liverpool were going to break their transfer record in signing Salah most of us would have shrugged. That will be a significant chunk of their budget and (imho) won't make a massive difference to them. Good player no doubt, but not a signing that makes you think that Liverpool are going to make a huge step up next season.

Can Mane play LW? Are they buying Salah to be a sub? Can Salah play LW? What will happen to Coutinho?

I agree, I can't see who he'd be dislodging either. He'll definitely make them a better squad though, as he is much better than Origi and will allow them to keep the front 3 fresh, without a real drop in quality.

What are you on about? I think you have mixed up lvg and jose.
Under Van Gaal he had his best stats of his career and was our top scorer.

And you think that sort of attitude is going to sit well with Jose ?
He was fine until Ancelotti was not as interested in him as Pep was in the previous year. Muller wasn't too happy this season either. Unlikely to see such behaviour if José doesn't do the same, although that is not to say I condone his reaction either. Perisic is also known to have serious attitude issues and more recently, he seemed to down tools towards the end of the season as the rumours of a nice away began, much to the displeasure of the Inter fans.

The manager will have to manage the situation in a new environment, regardless of who he buys.

Without the bias, he will be a very solid acquisition for Liverpool. Bearing in mind that they have Europe in their schedule and they play a very high tempo every game, rotation of quality players should be the least of their problems.

And then he slowly started to lose it. Stopped trying to take on players as much and seemed nervous to play his usual game. It started during LVG's reign.
