Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

Why leave so many deals for the last few days of the window? It's the case every single summer.

I'm starting to think Jim White begs every single club to postpone their dealings until deadline day so he could be relevant again.

I used to watch deadline day on sky but it's clear Jim White pops a viagra or something right before he goes on air.

What a depressing end to the window. Two players who would be perfect for us go to rivals without a fight.

If we haven't gone for a winger this window. Who would be available in the future that would improve us and would be available?
Any player could have a breakthrough season and in a new position. Like Dembele had a breakthrough season 2 years ago, Mbappe last season and Mertens rejuvenated himself as a centreforward. 8 months is a long time in football.

Today it seems a fair few big clubs are scrambling around for players as they are yet to fill their quotas. Deadline day it's usually the smaller clubs doing that.

Nah. Just don´t see how this makes any sense in some cases. Liverpool I get to an extent due to the CL qualifying.

First choice options not working out, other activity leading to reactions being required, players having their heads turned meaning clubs need to replace them, negotiations dragging out due to wildly varied valuations, clubs not wanting to sell so players going on strike etc etc.

These things often take time.

The cry-arsing in here is tragic. We're top of the table with three wins from three, ten goals scored and none conceded, and a very strong squad to choose from as it is, and there's folk whinging we're not after 'player x'.

Signing Sanchez means less game time for Martial and Rashford. Signing Lemar means less game time for Martial and Rashford, among others.

Get a grip, ffs. City had a world-class attack last year, too, and won jot. Their defence is still wank, which will be their downfall. Likewise Liverpool. Trust in Mourinho, he's pretty good at this football lark.

Lemar having his medical tonight. No fee agreed yet though.
No, stop posting it as fact based off of this tweet from rawk:
LFC GLOBE -Fee/terms not yet agreed but Monaco have given Lemar permission to undertake LFC medical tonight, in order to continue negotiations tomorrow

Imagine if City had started the season with the 3 performances and results we've had, and the reactions on here.

Kroenke needs to buy a new ranch. Football's not all that compared to other businesses in terms of making money.
Sports teams are nothing more than an ATM machine for the Kroenkes. The only thing I am aware of them winning is the Stanley Cup and that team was inherited so, nothing because of their work. They will only ever do just enough to put a few fans in the seats which feeds the ATM.

If Liverpool get Lemar too, I'll be pretty worried.

Defence is shite but Mane, Salah, Firmino and Lemar would be an explosive attack.

Lemar is a good player, but he wouldn't fit right now. He's a wide midfielder who plays on the left. We already have to swap between Rashford and Martial as to who gets a starting spot. Adding another into the mix is just a waste of money. We could always change formation to a three man midfield to accommodate Lemar, but you'd be taking an attacker out of the side.

He's a good player who I'd like to see at United. But sometimes it just doesn't make sense to sign them.

We need VVD to give us a chance of winning anything. We still lack a lot of solidity. Keita is an exceptional signing in that he's equally as effective going forwards as he is backwards. But a defender like VVD will cut 5-10 goals and allow the attacking okay to actually bear significance.

They'll still have Lovren in defense. Mignolet in goal.

I'd be slightly more worried about City if they get Sanchez. Evans would be a decent addition to their defense. Kompany will get injured soon enough, though.

All our rivals bar Spurs could do with better or more defensive players.
