Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

Sounds rubbish with Arsenal's wage structure and financial problems. Red tops were claiming he rejected £220k/week from Chelsea as well which'd make him their top earner. Just seems nonsense.

Yeah it's just the usual media brown nosing Liverpool. Surprised they never threw our name in for good measure.

 This will go down well with Arsenal's fans.

Surely they do need to replace Chamberlain? Their squad is thin as it is and are losing a key player.

Also have the Europa League to worry about.
Their squad is big. They have loads of average midfield and defensive options in particular. It is top quality that is lacking. Not sure they will miss Ox much though.

How much money does CL football guarantee these days? €30-40M. Qualifying and the strong start probably encouraged them to spend some more. Also given how bad Arsenal are going the CL qualifying odds have improved dramatically for next season with 4 out of 5, and all four sports guaranteed. Furthermore Tottenham struggling at Wembley. Not a bad time to make a move.

They only have Chambers, Mertesacker, Holding, Kolasinac, Koscielny, Monreal, Mustafi, Bellerin, Debuchy as defensive options (both as part of a back three or as wing-backs). That's not enough IMO, especially considering the likely exits of Mustafi and Debuchy before the deadline.

Don't think they'll be able to cope with four competitions without signing another defender or two.

Yeah, the size of their squad is actually ridiculous. They still have Debuchy, Cazorla, Campbell, Wilshere etc.

The actual quality of the depth is abysmal though. Could do with more defenders but I assume they'll go to 4 at the back if there's a number problem.

Saying United squad will remain unchanged coming the last day of the transfer. No one's leaving and no one is joining. Pereira loan to Velancia was blocked by Mourinho due to Pereira's ability to play in various positions.

Meh, think it's a mistake personally. Would have liked another out and out winger join the club. Wasn't completely sold on Ivan Perisic but he'd have brought something different which we lack to the squad and add invaluable depth.

At some point though over the course of this season and next, Arsenal have to broach the subject of contract renewals. And given their current malaise, that's going to be difficult.

As it stands, Arsenal risk losing 14 first-team players between now and Summer 2019.

That club is going down the toilet rapidly. They could end up finishing mid table.

Arsenal would be lucky to get into the top 6. A team who is lacking quality players and depth in midfield and defence.

Also to hear Arsenal are in financial difficulty, a team who apparently have millions in reserves, hilarious.

AFTV will be epic this season.

They really are a mess. Bit like seeing what could have happened to us if Moyes had stayed on.

I don't think there is any other attacker who could play through the wings who were targets apart from Willian and Perisic.

Chelsea blocked Willians move and Perisic was overpriced by Inter.

Jose is specific regarding his targets, people need to calm down and have faith in Jose. Plus I don't believe there is any financial restrictions from the Glazers.

Never thought I would see something rivaling Moyes' United in shambles. And that turned out to be one of the most experienced managers in all of football.

After 4 hour living la vida loca, (working) came home and 44 transfer tweets??!! So nervous, did we sign Messi? Or is it non Utd related? Will I be happy? Or should I just leave it unread?
Here I go..

There was a grand total of 1 tweet related to Utd. Good luck trawling through all the rest.

Slightly annoyed that it seems like City will get Sanchez and Liverpool Lemar. Two brilliant players that will improve both teams. Hope none of the deals go through.
