What does that have to do with the fact that our squad could do with a bit more strengthening? It's not like we have a perfect squad
Sounds rubbish with Arsenal's wage structure and financial problems. Red tops were claiming he rejected £220k/week from Chelsea as well which'd make him their top earner. Just seems nonsense.
It could always do with strengthening, no one ever has a perfect squad. The manager wanted four signings, he said he'd be happy with three. We've got four.

I think his point is that only one signing has significantly strengthened our starting XI, Matic. Which is a fair point imo.

Unless they get Lemar and VVD, AOC will hardly be enough for fans to accept the departure of Coutinho. It just makes no sense to pay that much money for him. If you slap 10-15M on top you could have had Draxler.
