Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

feck, city will buy sanchez. My only hope( slim hope) is that sterling or aguero will be in that deal. But doesn't seem logical at all. If they give aguero they will be stuck only with jesus as classic striker. If they give sterling, they are giving future star for 30 y old winger

Think Gray is overrated by a lot of people who only see the odd highlight, was looking a bit at Leicester fans' stuff after they were linked with Townsend and loads were complaining about Gray. Shite attitude too apparently. @Jimmy Skitz Townsend would be underwhelming I guess but is it true re Gray?

West Brom are in advanced talks with Paris Saint-Germain about a possible loan deal for Poland international Grzegorz Krychowiak, Sky sources understand.

The defensive midfielder only moved to PSG last summer after a £28m transfer from Sevilla, where he was twice a Europa League winner.

But he's had limited opportunities at PSG and we understand he's keen on a move to the Premier League.

Plans are in place for Krychowiak to fly to England later today to complete the deal.

Optimistically hoping United hijack the Sanchez bid. I'd rather Griezmann but I need some excitement this window. Sanchez this summer, Griezmann in January and Ronaldo next summer?

This will be two years in a row we've stayed away from a late deal. Planning wise it's probably a good thing but as a football fan and a self confessed transfer muppet it's very boring, especially watching rivals spend big money. The lift that gives you is insane heading into the international break.

So come on Jose, do it for us.

I think we will be missing a trick if we don't pull off a major signing before the end of the window. Our team has started well but it's been only three games and I don't think we are as equipped to challenge on all fronts. Over confidence or folly.

I like the planning and getting the deals done early so we can start the season strong. But the thing is that we really needed more than just Lukaku and Matic. If we could pull off one more good transfer on the deadline it would really give us all a massive boost.

Feck griezmann. It's because of his loyalty to athletico , our window has been so underwhelming. I would have wanted us to sign someone like Sanchez but can't see it happening now.

City throwing £70M for a player in his final year is probably a hallmark of the current state of affairs during this transfer window. IMO, something needs to be done to stop Arabs as money is no object to them. PSG opened the can of warms and exposed UEFA, FFP etc, for that they really are a bunch of corrupt and spineless tools as if we needed any more confirmation.

I don't know, maybe I'm getting old but 'others are signing, we should be signing too' and 'i want some excitement on the last days of window' sounds like 12 year olds throwing their shit outta pram.

Transfers are now a big part of football and they bring a lot of excitement to the game. Also, we need more players so there's logic behind the madness also.

Think it is more that we have people playing as wingers, who aren't actually wingers, which would be fine if our fullbacks compensated for it, but they don't. It might bite us on the bum eventually. We have addressed a couple of position. The value of the Lindelof signing won't be seen yet, but he wanted that winger and we haven't got it. I hope we don't go back for Perisic next season as he will be even dearer if he signs a new contract and older. Maybe Griezmann will be on his way?

We don't need more players, we need better players. No point buying players just to keep a few idiots excited on dead line day.

I don't deny the need for a winger/a left or right back by the way, merely talking about the 'signing for the signing's sake' attitude. I agree we could do with one wide player more FWIW but I know that at the same time people would whine about Martial/Rashford not getting enough chances within 2-3 weeks.

I know. The bit that irritates me is the 'We should be in for him' whenever some Tom, Dick or Harry gets mentioned, even if we are fully stocked in that position.

Yup, or the 'why aren't we in for him when X/Y/Z are'. That's the thing I'm alluding to, we need quality, not another proverbial Young who we'll struggle to offload in a couple of years.
