Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

Depends on if Arsenal are prepared to match or exceed their wages I think. I don't think Arsenal would do that, but if they did then any City player could be persuaded.
And a life in London. It sounds sexier, despite no C1, at least for the wife.

We're told unrelated to Coutinho but how is he going to fit in to the team otherwise, and where are Liverpool getting this money from?

To be honest I think even if Coutinho leaves, if you get Keita & Lemar in with that money you've done brilliantly, two players who are going to be superb in a year or two's time.
Can play as the left-sided midfielder or as the left winger, we've got more than enough games this season to rotate and give him plenty of games to feature in.

And we've hardly spent anything in the past two years or so, so the money is definitely there imo. However, IF we sign Lemar and Van Dijk and keep Coutinho, I didn't think we had that much money to spend either. I also thought Coutinho would be off if Lemar was to join us.

He will push Lacazette to the left wing, especially if Aguero comes.
They've been playing 3-4-3 recently, they could easily play a 3-5-2 with Ozil behind Lacazette and Aguero, that would be pretty decent.

Get Van Dijk and Evans to partner Koscienly and that's a half decent defence. Kolasinac at LWB with Bellerin RWB. Not too shabby.

True, but that 3 back nonsense needs to stop really. Arsenal are not a team that's supposed to play like that, would be better to have a 4 back again but yeah a 2 strikers option is not bad.

Bellerin was a disgrace in the last game and needs to be benched. Anyway, let's how this folds out.

Lacazette came on on Sunday at left wing and was fairly useless there. He's a goal scorer and Wenger will ruin him if he doesn't play him up top.

I do agree but the whole team was useless. I think it's a Martial type of player and being on the wing won't be that bad as long as the team plays with him well. On Sunday, the whole team just snapped out.

If it's not a loan, how do they impose such a condition?
I think it'll be a loan.

I don't think Lacazette is the Martial type who can be moved across the front line like that. He's a number 9 and should be played up top.

Also playing him at left wing would require him to do some defensive work to protect the wing back. I'm not sure he'd be useful in that sense.

How have Watford not been able to agree personal terms with Gibbs? What's he asking for?
Probably a ridiculous amount of money. Thing is, Watford's training ground is pretty much right next to Arsenal's and their stadium isn't that far from the Emirates so if he went to Watford he probably wouldn't even need to move house with added bonus of not playing for Pulis.

That's what I figured. Then again, wouldn't have thought the wage structure at Watford would be that far removed from West Brom. Watford would've been an easy move for him.

This is so strange.. He just signed him for mega money, he scores, and now he's getting benched after 3 games?!

Wtf is Wenger doing?

But he insists on fielding Danny well back, who can't sort out his feet to save his life.
And then he takes off Alexis who was the only one giving more creativity and spark up top.
Wenger had only one thing in mind - chew the skin out of whatever he was chewing.
How low he has fallen.

Gotta love the last few days of the window. Everyone & their mother suddenly realize they need to buy/sell or alternatively, they decide now's the time to get the best deals. Really don't know what Arsene is up to, but gotta say Liverpool looks to be moving & shaking in the proper circles. Will they will get any reinforcements for this season, though?

Props on the Keita acquisition, although it seems the premium was 7mil, not 2mil as previously mooted. That puts RB valuing a season of work from him at about 10-11mil.

Can you blame them?

Waste of a career going to play under Wenger these last 15 years.[/This QUOTE]

Definitely not, seems coincidental the stories coming out about those two being involved in a swap deal, then they've caught wind of it and said he'll no

Ftfy by the way.

What could Arsenal squeeze out of City if there's no player exchange? Given the market, I'd say 70-80m is not too far a stretch. Yes he's got a year left, but he's a game changer and in his prime. He might go elsewhere in a years' time. Put it this way, I'd want him at United even if we'd have to stump up that kind of cash, simply because he's worth it.

Just came here to laugh at the reports that City have offered Arsenal Sterling
