Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

I wouldn't take him back if he was willing to pay the 40m cost of the transfer out of his pocket using his mother's retirement fund. He can feck right off.

We should take him back, and then hire a few lads to rattle his back door late at night.

Edit: not a euphemism

A gentleman's agreement expires?

Who the feck uses gentlemen's agreements in the 21st century with regards to your actual profession and deals with your employer?

I'd rather get in touch with Nigerian princes for that inheritance money they had locked up on some Swiss accounts and need my help to recover.

We do have a pretty vast array of options for the #10 role. Mkhi, Mata and Lingard are all CAMs by nature. How many more do you need?

He could get some games on the wings or here and there but would that be enough for him to feel he has a future so he renews his contract? I mean if Ibra signs a new contract as being talked about, we'll have as many attackers as last year and we have 2 more CMs. I really don't see him getting more than 10 games under his belt with that much competition for places.

If he doesn't like being a loanee maybe selling him with a buy back clause is not such a bad idea.

CAMs by nature yes, but most of the time we have two of them in the starting eleven - one behind the striker and one on the right.

Point is, there's more than enough space for him in our attack if Jose wants to use him there. Don't forget we'll have to play plenty of games this season and our squad isn't as big as some think - especially in attack.

Of course this discussion becomes pointless if Jose sees him as a midfielder and he has to compete with the likes of Pogba, Matic, Carrick and Fellaini for a place in a midfield two. If that's the case I can see some logic behind loaning him out until next summer when probably Fellaini and Carrick will both be gone.

Let's see what happens with his contract situation first.

Ronaldo and United?

It is a side contract called "sous seing privé". The legal value of those contracts is contested.

Lass signed such a contract with Marseille allowing him to leave on a free if he has a good offer but when he tried to activate it the club simply said nope and he had to stay some more. Dembélé was said to have a €5m valuation clause but Dortmund ended up paying €15+15m.

Extremely disappointed if Pereira would be loaned. I really looked forward to seeing him play for United after his good season last year. I don't agree he would have little playing time he van play on several positionering, would be brilliant bevind Lukaku as 10, only decent replacement we have for Pogba and he is alot beter than Lingard, we simply need him to additionele some much needed depth in our attack.

Would be extremely disappointed and angry with José if he met Pereira go like this. The kid reserves to play.

In place of who? He won't play on wings, he wont play at 10 so that leaves us with the two mid places. He won't displace Pogba and Matic anytime soon. The first replacements are Herreira and Fellaini. And you still have Carrick. He is at an age where he needs to play regularly. A year loan will do him good.

Valencia have asked Man United for the loan of Andreas Pereira, confirmed by Sport Witness. Mourinho not keen.

Isn't his contract up in the summer too? I think if he goes out on loan again he wont sign a new deal here.

I'm glad Mourinho doesn't fancy loaning him out again. Hopefully once the games start to pick up pace he'll get a chance to show what he can bring.

He can play behind Lukaku instead of Mkhitaryan.

He is at an age where he needs to start getting chances in our team or he will leave to some other team that does give him those chances and we will regret it.

For the front 4 positions we have: Lukaku, Rashford, Martial, Mkhitaryan, Mata and Lingard, that is only 6 players for 4 positions. Pereira can play in 3 of those positions, behind the striker, on either wing and he can play as a central midfielder aswell. Unless United is signing 1 or 2 new players for those positions, there is no way that Pereira can not be getting any playing time since we have PL, CL, FA-cup and League cup. We can definatley use him.

Loaning him out now is just a sign towards the player that you don't believe in him and is very unlikely to ever get a breakthrough chance.

Good. We need him.

For which games?

League cup, early champions league and FA Cup?

If so is that enough to keep the lad happy, I personally don't see him getting a break with the likes of Mata, Rashford, Mhki, Martial and Lingard ahead of him in the wide positions. Then at centre mid he's got Matic, Pogba, Herrera, Fellaini and Carrick.

I don't see where he get's his break.

I wouldn't take the cnut if he was free.
Why? So you wouldn't put any of it down to Van Gaal and the way he treated players? He wasnt exactly arm round the shoulder type unless you were Dutch and Di Maria is that type of player that needs a comforting manager not a cold one.

Di Maria didn't particularly want to come here in the first place, and when we did get him he barely looked like he could be arsed at the best of times.

He might be United quality in terms of his so called 'top level' (which arguably we only saw for one season at Madrid), but he doesn't have the required mentality in any way, shape or form and I don't think his time at PSG has done anything to dispel that notion.

Guess that's what's happens when release clauses are illegal in France?

you mean that old English bulldog spirit so much to be admired in the Jones , Shaws and Smaillings of this world

Toure was pushed out by Pep. Bravo wasn't exactly as unexpendable as Messi is. Sylvinho was past it.

Not true wrt Pep, player simply didn't want to play behind Busquets, didn't want to work as hard as Pep was asking and certainly didn't want to rotate at CB - more than anything though, he was looking for a bumper pay day he wasn't going to get at Barcelona

Bravo was ultimately 2nd choice to Mats, that's an easy one

Syvlinho? Wow, that's a reach for a player 35 years old and rarely playing

Messi will stay eventhough he is well within his rights to get out from under this corrupt & inept board but his love for the club & city is too great to do the smart thing. He gave his word to sign the renewal and he has yet to back track once he's given his word

Yes, that's clearly what I was getting at - not the sulky attitude, poor performances, the push to leave the first time the opportunity presented itself, and the interviews and quotes after he joined PSG about how he'd rather forget his time with us. Didn't he say he was joining us with reluctance before he even kicked a ball in anger?

He couldn't get above Ashley Young in the pecking order for gods sake, that tells you everything you need to know about his application.

#MUFC + #THFC both chasing Ryan Sessegnon according to Sky. United would consider loaning him back to Fulham who will only accept big offer
