Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

Barcelona are in crisis and they're still trying to undercut Liverpool, whilst knowing they won't sell for anything under £100m.

Just structure a deal that is likely to get accepted (£120m) and start working out how they can stop the dominance of Real.

Check the opening post of this thread. the Mirror is on the banned list.

Ah my mistake apologies! Can I ask though, why? It's not like they blatantly make stuff up and transfer season is all about speculation at the end of the day. I see the point in banning ITK's etc but banning actual journalists and papers because they have been wrong seems a wee bit off in my opinion.

I mean with reports of what their owners are actually doing outside of football, is it really a surprise they'd do this too?
What matters is that they are stopped by football's governing bodies or watch the modern game crumble can't sustain these prices and spending for much longer.

Never seen a player behave this poorly.

The only player that went on strike - that I felt, and I am not going to use the word sympathy for...but at least I could understand his anger....was Pierre van Hooijdonk. He arrived at Forest after a very good spell at Celtic to save the club from relegation in 97, but failed to make an impact in the last 10 or so games of the season and Forest got relegated. He pledged to stay and get Forest back into the Premier League (according to him with a promise from the owners that he could leave if he helped get them back into the P.L), and him and Kevin Campbell basically fired a mediocre Forest-side to the Premier League. Before he went to the WC 98 - he was promised that Forest would strengthen the side so they could make an impact in the P.L. When Hooijdonk returned, Forest had sold Kevin Campbell to Turkey, the captain Colin Cooper had been sold to Boro who also had been promoted and Scott Gemmill was sent to the reserves for refusing to sign a new contract. The dutchman requested a transfer and was denied...and went on strike...but later returned and there was one game when he scored, the only Forest-player congratulating him was one of the new signings they had made.

I dont agree with his actions..but I can understand why he felt angry

Do PSG got a crazy new sponsorship deal worth 500£ mill a year we do not know about? cause i can not wrap my head around they already spent 222 mill Euros on Neymar and still after mbappe etc?

They must be miles behind the english top clubs regarding to revenue.

Tevez springs to mind as someone who's behaved just as bad.

He just pissed off during a season and didn't return.
Wasn't it Mancini that kept him out.
To be fair can say the same about Costa.

Seems like two different briefings. What to believe?

de Brun decided that we were in for a left back about 3hours after Sam Luckhurst tweeted as much a couple of weeks ago. I will give it about 4 or 5 hours until he is tweeting that Mourinho has faith in Shaw because that's what he does almost every single tweet he makes professing some kind of inside knowledge has a direct line to a tweet a proper journalist has made within the last few hours

It doesn't really say we're offering Shaw a new deal in the article, just that we'll exercise our one year option clause. So de Brun might be right, we might exercise the option and then sell him on to make sure we get some money back on him.

But just look at the language he uses it's not done as a proper journalistic tweet. Imagine if Mark Ogden or Henry winter or a genuine reputable football journalist started tweeting in those terms "I think..."

It's a clear difference between someone who uses Twitter to convey information that they've genuinely acquired through professional means and a dick who wants to appear in the know

Seriously... I need to pay or register to read that article? And then there was one more news site constantly asking me to donate. Are really English media that desperate for money?

I don't even like PB but that's just ridiculous criticism .

Offering Shaw a new deal (or extending the current one by a year) does not necessarily mean United want to keep him...

The problem is he does it all the time. Journalist will Tweet something, PB will tweet "I think [what journalist said] will happen".

OLD TWEETS #RETROSPOILER

Waits until a journalists Tweets something. Uses "I think..." (or "IMO" in this case) to pass it off as his own information. Does it constantly.

He is expressing his personal views, he isn't reporting.

These tweets are from 9th August? Why post them now?
