Quite a lot of talk about Bale now. I know he has his injury problems, but I'd be so happy if we signed him. He'd take us to another level.

Agree with this. Perisic and Bale on the wings with Lukaku up front would be pretty decent. Then Mkhitaryan/Mata/Lingard can play centrally where they are best.
That was my biggest gripe with the club briefing. Just tell the truth. Just tell us that Griezmann interest "cooled" because of the ban. Making up this bullshit about zlatan made us look like a political party denying their leader was shagging the maid.

These Bale rumours are starting to heat up.
Bale is just what we need and a risk we have to take. We are in desperate need of clinical attackers, goal threats from other positions than the striker. We scored less goals than Burnley last season and I think that's due to a lack of clinical attackers. Way too many chances missed.

This season? Dembele, Fabinho, Lukaku, Belotti, Mendy, Silva, Salah, Keita.... basically anyone close to the top, with time to get there. Signing crocked superstars and Real Madrid rejects because they have a fancy name that sells shirts is pretty much asking for problems.
We haven't turned a top prospect into a top player in a long long time and that's a massive problem.

Why is it that so many supporters forget that Mourinho said after the Europa Final that he had given the transfer list to Woodward two months previously. He also provided details of 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th choices for each position he was interested in strengthening. He added that he foresaw most of the purchases to have been done but not all of them by the time they started their tour.
Now is a month before the transfer window opens and at the moment all the chips are with the selling club so, they're demanding extortionate fees - especially from United. I don't expect any real activity until early to mid-July.

Nobody seems really interested in James especially with Real trying to recoup as much as they can on the enormous outlay they made on him. I've noticed in the last two weeks his value in the press has dropped significantly from about 80m euros to about 40m euros. Of course, its probably all media BS.
