Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

Sorry but I would give De Gea plus 20m for Bale. Call me crazy but we dont NEED a world class keeper as evidenced by Romero what we have to get right now is an injection of real quality in the attack and Bale would do exactly that.

Teams can win trophies with decent keepers e.g. Navas, they cant if they have shit attackers.
But we don't need to sell our keeper to sign bale we can get him regardless if Madrid are selling and we want him.

Hasn't Delaney pushed Bale to united every year for the past 3 years?

If he can get over his injury concerns he'd piss this league. His problems seem a bit chronic, mind.

Heard someone on the radio this morning saying he didn't properly recover from his ankle surgery earlier in the season and this had a knock on effect on his recent calf problems. Not sure how true that is mind

We might have to sell our keeper though, or face paying an extremely large fee upfront that we would never do.

Probably. Funnily enough though I actually think this is the year we could land him. Question is, do we want him now? Is his injury record a concern? I must admit not being arsed that we are linked to him, when previously I'd be wishing for this to happen.

Not that this is true but sorry how the f*ck has his fee magically risen to 100m, yeah because he has really went from strength to strength in his 3 years being there, he's been alright but definitley not improved, if anything he has taken a step backwards because of injuries, so I wouldn't want to pay anything more than 60m for him and even that is a push, but this is 100% bullshit from Deleany, Clickbait United stuff

Of course we want him, after Griezmann he is the next big name we can get and is a winger on top if it

Bale and Perisic would certainly sort out our wings. Shame Bale is unlikely to happen.

I was wondering when the Bale - United "articles" will begin. The likes of Delaney are basically getting paid to do what we're all doing here in the Transfer Forum. Must be nice.

I'm concerned about his injury record.

Three names that bore me senseless when linked to Utd: Ronaldo, Neymar, Bale.

Never going to happen.

So if we are supposed to dreaming of signing bale than we should not baulk at the price if we still think he's worthy of that and we can make it work.

Completely agree. There's no point buying for the sake of buying. If we can get him cheap-ish, it's worth a punt, but his injury record makes him a huge concern now, it's not worth taking the risk imo. I also don't care that we're linked. On his day he's fantastic, but if he's suffering with injuries in La Liga, then how will he stand a change in England?

Same.

Pretty sure I heard him talking about this on the radio earlier. Said he rushed back from his last injury and it led to this one occurring.

Ridiculous comment, so you think they did nothing wrong, perhaps a few could be put down to mistakes but not 64:wenger:

If they were in this situation because say, a player or players were ruled out for a long time I could understand him sticking by them but not because they broke the law 64 times, it's ridiculous and if I was the press I'd ask him why he thinks it's a good idea to stay for that reason.

Of course it was ridiculous, and purposely so. They pay his huge wages, and are in strife as a club and he pays them a bit back. So fair play to him I say.

Are our players to examine the ethics of our club and all of our sponsors before they declare loyalty or is it as it should be where they only take into account the coaching staff and the fans?

£60mil?! What.

Bale was awesome in the Euros (arguably as good as Griez) was unplayable at times in the Prem and has done very well in La Liga, just been injured this year.

Any team over here gets him will be instant favourites for the league.

U wanna go through all the shit he got wrong?

So what, show me a journalist that gets them all right.

He took a load of stick on here when he went early on a the Griez story, when everyone thought it was happening.

Point is he obviously does know stuff, so I'm not just going to discredit his work.

inflation.

Real

We shouldn't go near Bale. Let him rot there for going there in the first place and thinking it'd work out. He's too injury prone to bother with.

Sure he won the Champs League there, how exactly hasn't it "worked out".

Perhaps he would have been better playing under Moyes.

Bet he looks at those Champions League medals and cries himself to sleep.

I'd still take Bale in a heartbeat. He needs a proper rest and recovery but he's still a fantastic player.
