If he is sold behind Klopps back...
 Only what he'd deserve for having chosen to lower himself to join them in the first place, but still the potential fall-out entertainment

Huge move for Coutinho though - credit to him if he thinks he can make the step-up to that level.

Who are Paris United and how have they suddenly become god level in terms of reliability? Could do with a few more of those.
According to PSG fans on Reddit they're some sort of mouthpiece for their club. Some of our French posters on the Caf may be able to shed some light on them.

If Neymar goes they will be far more persistant and public about aquiring him and the fact is Barca will have a need and if he doesn't fill it this season they will fill it with another and he will not be wanted next year by them. They have already lined up Veratti for Iniesta next season, on the cheap too... Wonder could they up the stakes on Mbappe.

I'd say they have his team well informed of this too. SO it all hinges on Neymar.
I'd love if PSG just signs Coutinho and Neymar and leaves Barca in the dust. Be nice of the scousers to teach Barca a lesson about tapping up one of their players.

Lined up Veratti.for next season?

Delaney also said in the responses to those comments that we did go after Fabinho, but Monaco were too difficult to deal with.

Strange choice.
They've only got three homegrown players in their squad (Cahill, Fabregas, Moses) - maybe four if Lewis Baker doesn't go out on loan. They need to add more homegrown players and have been linked to Barkley and Oxlade-Chamberlain too. Drinkwater would probably be the most attainable.

Ahhhh ha ha ha ha ha ha, I hear ya.

Sorry dropped an "R" there.
Where you been all summer they want him he wants to go but PSG wouldn't play ball. But in effect you are more right then me i though he had 3 years left as in next year only 2. While unsettled he could kick up a stink. But as its 4 years left thats another year off most likely.

of course they were :wenger:

the reported interest was before Bakayoko moved, i doubt they wouldnt have accepted a 40m bid. Truth is we never were in for him, just like the club briefed and Delaney fell for the ITK stuff, just like he does with Aurier, even if the sources are more reliable now.

Kante and Drinkwater were an excellent partnership at Leicester. They probably have that in mind
Our midfield has a better balance, but Kante+Bakayoko+Drinkwater would be a nightmare to play against.

I think the idea is to be solid at the back, warrior-like in the middle and with individual brilliance in attack. It could work in the PL, but I doubt that the best sides in the CL would succumb to it.

Yeah true but I didnt think anything was lined up. Besides this Neymar saga will sour things between the two clubs.

whats an english quota?
All 20 Clubs must include eight Home Grown players out of a squad of 25 for that Premier League season.

A Home Grown player will be defined as one who, irrespective of his nationality or age, has been registered with any club affiliated to the Football Association or the Football Association of Wales for a period, continuous or not, of three entire seasons or 36 months prior to his 21st birthday (or the end of the season during which he turns 21).

Clubs are able to supplement their squads with unlimited additional players under the age of 21 on 1st January in the year in which the season commences.

Changes to the squad list of 25 may be made during the period of a transfer window. So Clubs must declare their 25 at the end of August when the window shuts and then again at the end of January.

Be surprised if that went down well with the chelsea support
It's a mixed bag.

Here is one:

'Drinkwater?

Deary me let hope this is rubbish.

We really are looking daft if we sold magic and brought this guy in'

There is no requirement for the player to be English, I think was what he was getting at in the question.

Pogba, for instance, is 'homegrown' I believe, whereas Eric Dier, an England international (ridiculously), isn't.

Have they sent Loftus-Cheek on loan too?

Oh right. I was just using English lazily I guess

you get nothing for 35m this year

So far:
Ederson - average GK
Keane 25m
Pickford - 25m

Arnautovic - 20m
Ake - 20m
vitolo -31m
£25m for Keane is a really good price.

Would have been a good signing for Liverpool, Arsenal and even City.

Im not saying Keane is a bad buy, just that people complaining about buying Matic for 35m because we should be getting world class talent for 35m, not a past it has been Chelsea reject. Just pointing out that 35m doesnt buy you much, as good as Keane is, he is hardly a world class talent
