Perhaps. Personally not that impressed with Chong, and Buffonge is more of a central player. Boonen is a wide player, but not on Sancho's level, like Chong, in my opinion.

So this was because he was omitted from the pre-season tour? Pretty strange, I get that it's City and your opportunities are already limited there as a kid but he seems pretty entitled. He only turned 17 in March.

While I don't think he missed training sessions, worth pointing out that people were saying the same thing about Pogba when he refused to sign a new contract and wait for his chance and instead went to Juve, even though he was absolutely right to do so. Sancho won't ever get playing time for City. I wouldn't be put off signing him because of that. I just don't think we could guarantee him the game time he clearly wants

Tweeted four days ago when there was no news of us being interested in Sancho.
Sancho is supposed to have been AWOL for a few days at least and Gomes is his mate from the England set up living in the same area. I'm pretty sure he would know what is going on. If we are trying to sign him it won't have started today.
I agree though, they are playing in the WC together soon so it could be entirely innocent.
If true, that puts a hole in the theory that Spurs don't need to be active in the transfer market.
