People really suggesting we get ADM back? I wouldn't want him anywhere near the club.
I respect you have some measured and objective opinion on Shaw, but serious injuries are not like in FIFA career mode. There's no timeline in which you get back restored to your previous condition. A broken leg can have other effects especially at the age of 20. Some should really cut the boy some slack, i'm not saying you, but there are posters here slating him like it was his fault for losing a crucial year of his development. For the record, I don't want Shaw to go, but this 'not giving him a chance' thing needs to stop. He's been here 3 years. He missed 9 months injured, yes - but he's still only had about 5 stand-out games in his time here.
Also, it is you who said to 'spend £50m on a LB', nobody else did. That kind of investment isn't necessary. Also, we can have more than one left back in the squad without it being some sort of insult to Shaw.
Same here, I'd prefer we sign James Milner
Aurier has reached agreement with Man Utd. Waiting for a favourable result of his court case re. entering the UK (authorised by PSG to speak with other clubs)
in form Aurier is one of the best RB's in the world imo, and a good, young, (arguably) upgrade on Valencia, def has a high ceiling. I'm assuming he just wants to get on with his football now, and if the deal goes through, hopefully Mourinho can help him mature. Very much a good deal, especially at the reported fees.

Needless to say i like Shaw, and in those few games he played fit and ready he's showed what he's capable of, some people have short memories. In those games he's showed and looked much more a Manchester United full-back than Darmian for example.
He wasn't particularly impressive but none of our players were. That was under LVG and i i remember there where couple of small injuries that interrupted his first season here after playing 2 seasons for Southampton without a single injury if i remember correctly. Which to me points out to a bit of bad luck as well as his young age and development. He got injured after a whole season here, even in his first season he wasn't particularly impressive.
In any case, nobody is saying the injury is his failure or whatever. The facts of the matter though, is that we thought we were signing a left back for the team because we needed one. If for whatever reason - broken leg, gone to prison for a few years - whatever the reason really, that Shaw cannot give us the service, the need still exists, and basically hasn't been addressed for an entire 3 years since Shaw joined, for a number of reasons. We need to sign another left back, so that we can have a left back when Shaw can't be a left back (which seems to be often). Again, that player doesn't have to cost 50m, the club need to do a lot better than only seeing a 50m player as the only optional on the market.
I'll say again, Andy Robertson is a quality LB who cost Liverpool 7.5m. We could have done far worse. As it is, Shaw will miss the start of the season, then I'm unsure how long exactly will be written off after that under the 'cut him some slack, he's just recovered from injury' policy. By that time, we'll be well into the fourth season in a row of getting very little return on our investment in him. A squad should have two good options at LB anyway.

It has been addressed by investing in an expensive, young English talent in Shaw, who as i said has been unlucky. We could have gone for Robertson but we already have solid option in Darmian and Blind, while Mitchell should be in our future planning when we think of buying another young left-back like Robertson/Tierney.
My point is i can see the management's logic in having trust in Shaw's potential and giving him a final season while we have other priorities at this moment, like the problem of scoring goals and not having an influential winger that could win us matches. Bringing even Mendy for example wouldn't have solved that, whatever way we put it out.
Sunderland to consider Gibson's future after calling the club S*** and his teammates don't give a f***.
He's only 29? Looks about 40. Must be the booze.
Didn't he supposedly, I emphasise supposedly, turn up worse the wear for training with us, the supposed same incident with Wayne.Didn't he get done for drink driving a couple of years ago? Starting to think he has a problem. He looks in awful shape though, I barely recognised him from the picture.
But but but Liverpool have CL football. Liverpool fans on here told me that getting CL will guarantee them better signings. He would be excellent for Liverpool though I think he would prefer Arsenal.

RB, yes. Don't know about his issues with getting a UK permit. Is Aurier a right back? And what are the chances of him getting back in the UK?
if this were to happen.
LW, much like Martial. He's bloody good.have only seen YouTube clips of Sancho, what's his main position?
The famous City academy?
Let's hope he turns into the next Ryan Giggs, if we get him.
Yes please. Sancho and Gomes together.
I doubt it will happen as he would only be moving because he wants to start getting chances, and we've already got the likes of Rashford and Martial looking for opportunities alongside Lukaku (who is quite young himself). He's probably more likely to see the other top teams as more likely to give him chances in the not too distant future.
We have the best opening for a talented wide man of the top PL teams. You can obviously name physical players we have that can play there, after all, we do line up with XI - but the point is, we do not have ONE player who has nailed down a starting spot, nor do we have ONE genuine prospect in the academy in terms of wingers.
