Obviously joking, but if we were interested in Neymar I don't think they'd want the full 200m, due to the situation around him. With all the taxes and all that rubbish. Obviously never going to happen though.
Since when did girlfriends have so much power
I'm not a muppet. The opposite, in fact. I'm taking a step back and looking at the bigger picture, rather than letting my emotions get carried away with ever slither of 'news' from a tweet.Oh bless you, fellow muppet. Keep it strong.
I'm thinking the same. Saving face in front of Atletico fans only to declare he's leaving later.I'm not a muppet. The opposite, in fact. I'm taking a step back and looking at the bigger picture, rather than letting my emotions get carried away with ever slither of 'news' from a tweet.
If you look at the story in its entirety, the evidence still points towards him signing for us. Griezmann made a PR blunder with Atletico fans by saying he was 6/10 of the way towards signing for us. This is just him trying to avoid being hated. Hell, Rooney once said 'once a Blue, always a Blue' but then signed for us soon after. There are dozens of other examples besides that.

That's what I said upthread.. I mean, obviously I doubt he'd be desperate to leave. Why ain't we going for Harry Kane?
Why ain't we going for Harry Kane?
Why ain't we going for Harry Kane?
Loyal to Spurs. Supports them and has been there for a long time. Why ain't we going for Harry Kane?
Just thinking about this.
Is it that we lack such players or our players capable of doing this just happened to have a bad season?
Just wondering.
Prior to the finished season, the numbers of Mikhi, Martial, Mata and even Rashford, were not bad at all. If they had stepped up their games and improved, most of our conversations here would be different. Unfortunately, in goal scoring terms, they all declined plus, we had serious goal shortages from the midfield.
I am not sure 'someone' would fix our goal scoring problems. We need to find ways of stepping up the games of our current attackers/ midfielders while also bringing in new players who can attack and score.
What I meant was that we weren't great with Ibra, a player who requires that the entire attack is catered to his needs, Lukaku is the same, he needs the whole system geared towards him, but he's not good enough to merit it, and if we couldn't do all that well with Ibra we aren't going to do any better with a lump like Lukaku in his stead with even more limitations in his style of play.
Buying a player like Lukaku ties the team to playing to him for the foreseeable future, that would be a disaster, we have to be looking beyond just grabbing whatever we can get, that's not the way to build, especially when we are talking £70M type fees.
We were not transfer banned and they payed 80 m in full in one go.Not always... players will always play up to the fans, hell Ronaldo did it right before leaving us!
It was only a couple of weeks after saying that, that we agreed the deal with Madrid. Even though we knew he was off, he still tried to play to the fans and appear that he was looking at staying.
So you'd suggest to rely on Rashford and Martial?
Martial scored 17 goals in first season so he's capable of it but we need to improve the balance to score more team goals and not rely on one man. Still would want griz next season. If the only other options was to tie our future to Lukaku? Yes, I'd play a 3-5-2 and use them in a striker partnership, neither can lead the line on their own but maybe in a two they can compliment each other.
I can believe what I want; doesn't make it nonsense. I have a gut feeling it's done and I guess we will soon see. I'm not saying this about you but people in general are just knee-jerking to any and every tweet that gets posted; that is genuine nonsense.I've never said that I think he means he's definitely staying. The story will no doubt resurrect at some point but you said yourself that you believe that it's all agreed when it clearly isn't and to say it is is nonsense.
[Bilel Ghazi - L'Équipe] - Regarding Alexandre Lacazette, the three clubs that could benefit from Atletico's ban, Manchester United clearly ahead of Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund(twitter.com)
Barca are pretty hamstrung by MSN wages. If Valverde wants to make changes they may have to look into dismantling it. Neymar would be the easiest one to sell for a truckload of money. You mean extra 100m. As I read before Neymar extended his contract with buyout clause 200m, increasing to 222m next summer then 250m the next one.
It means in/at.That headline appears to read No United, does no mean yes in Portuguese?
Nah, it's over. At least for this summer. Griezmann has to be willing to join too which isn't likely now. I can't see him leave Atletico behind like that.Anyone seen Pogba's Instagram post? Seems a bit off when taken into his "watch this space" comment and Griezmann tweet about staying. I still think the transfer is not over yet.
