Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

Guess there weren't really any takers for James. If the loan fee of around 10-15M/season is true then Real getting some money as well as not having to pay his wages would be a bonus for them.

Yes but after his two years on loan, his contract would be near expiry. Suppose you're right though, nobody showed an interest in him at all.

Signed for 80mil and let go basically on loan.

This has to go down as a massive flop.
Mariid fans were giving it the big bollocks about how Morata and James wouldn't go for less than 140m combined and now look.
Now Morata is going nowhere because nobody will pay and James speaks for itself.

LOL

Even "bargain" can't describe that.

Shows how desperate Real were to get rid of him and also that none of the teams were ready to pay even 50m Euros for him. Such a fall from grace.

Wenger nerd? Never!

Christ, Wenger must have been born looking old.

True. I still believe that Bayern works efficiently, like they know exactly what they're doing. I have seen them deny rumors almost immediately too. They just cut to the chase most of the time.
I think Bayern are lucky that they have a great pool of home grown players to pick from in their own country, here it is not as great so we are more often than not looking abroad. With all our bragging we also seem to be doing business with clubs that don't want to do business with us.

Shame about James, would have brilliant for us.

Now I'am worrying again where the creativity will come from.

It would say a lot of the state of Mourinho's relations with Mendes if we were interested in James and Bayern got him on loan.

Forget Mendes, if we were interested in him then Madrid wouldn't have agreed to this deal at all. They were desperate to sell him and this deal proves it.

Well we will play with a midfield 3, dont expect us to play tiki taka. We will probably rely on Pogba to create from midfield and our wingers to create for Lukaku. Simple football really.

Not true, surely.

edit: feck, they've actually signed him already. Ridiculous price! Rummenigge and co are fantastic.

Bayern have a very good relationship with other clubs so they do the deal easily. I bet had we or Chelsea offered a similar sort of deal, real would have said f*ck off. Won't be surprised if perez sells morata for a cut down price if juve or psg come calling for him. For Manchester united nothing is easy.

And they quote us 80m for Morata? Absolute cnuts.
That's what happens when we flash the cash and seemingly pay up for whatever anyone is asking for. We can afford it, and they know it.

I know he's not developed as expected but I had no idea Real were so desperate to get rid. That's a hell of a fall from grace.

We spent nearly £90million on Pogba last season. Mkhitaryan's assist record isn't too shabby either.

Creating chances wasn't the problem last season, so cheer up.

No, they just let other BL clubs do all the scouting then buy up the dangerous players using their financial muscle within the league if they feel threatened by anyone. Winning the BL year on year must be getting boring for their fans though, they really need a CL win (or final at least) this season to get back on track to the treble winning side they were before Pep took over the reigns IMHO.
