But Real got Kroos from Bayern for peanuts, they must repay that somehow. We would have been quoted £80 million for James.

Chelsea will pay £70m for Morata which is half way there. Madrid will probably get £10-15m per year for that James loan. Plus, Madrid have some money in their coffers for the usual summer spends.

Mbappe won't sign unless he is going to be a starter

That's what's gonna happen. Perez won't stall much on Morata if Chelsea comes to ask for him. He's a fast learner and will recognize his mistake, as Chelsea can abandon him and move to Belotti as we did with them.

Is it me or do other European clubs get on better with each other but they all seem to hate English clubs I really don't know why. I bet similar with perisic if Bayern wanted him they would get him for 30 million us 50 million. I always feel English clubs are proper hated in Europe, no favours done whether by other clubs or UEFA.

Its not hate. The English clubs have a lot more money... It would be silly not to demand more from them. If they don't, the english clubs will stockpile all the top players in the world and the other leagues will suffer.

It's more that they know English clubs generally have shedloads more money than other European clubs and that they can milk them for all they're worth. I doubt personal feelings come in to it

Bayern and Juve always seem to do the kind of business I'd love us to be doing.

Both clubs had Alexis Sanchez as their number one transfer target but can't compete with City for him. Now here Bayern are making compromises by signing powder puff fancy Dan James Rodriguez.

It is interesting that neither Madrid or Barca have been able to make big signings either, Real relying on English money to sign Mbappe. The wealth of the Premier League is really starting to have consequences now.

I agree. I also think the fact that English clubs are behind the rest means they smell desperation. Take ourselves, 6th last year, 2 years without CL football and even when we did have it, we went out in the group stages ... and we have the most money to spend.

  • Inter have entered the race for Nemanja Matic and have been told he will cost €40m (£35.3m). The midfielder was a Manchester United transfer target but Chelsea will not sell him to their Premier League rivals after they beat the Blues to Romelu Lukaku. (Corriere dello Sport)
  • Juventus general manager Giuseppe Marotta will close a deal for Bayern Munich winger Douglas Costa in Germany today. The two clubs have agreed a deal, a €6m (£5.3) loan, before a compulsory purchase of €40m next summer. The 26-year-old Brazilian will get a yearly salary of €7m (£6.1m). (La Gazzetta dello Sport)
  • Atletico Madrid are negotiating with Monaco over the possible signing of Fabinho. The right-back-turned-midfielder was a Paris Saint-Germain transfer target, but the Ligue 1 club weren't willing to negotiate with a club in the same division as them. (AS)
  • Munir El Haddadi will leave Barcelona permanently this summer. The forward spent last season on loan at Valencia and is a West Ham United transfer target. The 21-year-old is also attracting interest from Southampton, Crystal Palace and Schalke. (Sport)
  • James Rodriguez could be the 'grenade' signing this summer promised by Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness. (Sport Bild)

I will never believe that we're 'missing out' on James. He's been there on a plate all summer and we've not gone for it.

Why are people taking that James 2 year loan deal as a fact?

Real aren't stupid, they'd never do that. It's just another silly rumor.

No clue. It's GdS which is hardly reliable.
