I wonder if this whole Lukaku link is just a ploy to get Madrid to lower their asking fee for Morata.

I prefer Morata than Lukaku, just because I would like to see an elegant striker to play for United rather than a powerhouse. Something different for once. Oh well... there is still hope, before the end of the window.

I think if we buy Morata too, we will walk away from the Perisic deal. A summer of Lindelof, Lukaku, Morata and maybe Fabinho will be superb - great options all over the pitch, with added goal threat.

For that matter, Jose brought Morata through. To be honest, am a bit gutted as I was really hoping we'd get Morata. Rate him far more highly than Lukaku - who doesn't bring that level of elegance, vision or ability (note, this is relative; am not dissing Lukaku). The fact that we seem to have briefed the Press we're not in for Morata is what is sad for me. Ideally, we should have gone for both, but I realize that this isn't FM. Was saying all along we'd go for one and I hoped it was Morata. Am sticking by my prediction of us going for just one of them - just that it's sadly Lukaku and not Morata.
All that said, the bright side is that Lukaku's history would show that we'll annihilate the small fry...and struggle only against the big boys.
