The real holdup with James is his high salary. RM need to lower their price to compensate, but they don't want to take the loss. Not many teams can both pay the high salary and a decent transfer fee.
Roma are kinda stacked in midfield though. De Rossi, Strootman, Radja, Pellegrini. If the reports about Seri are true, they'd just need a warm blooded body as their 6th man in the rotation
