Probably wanted to stay at PSG when he was signing those contracts

Without the 6-1 this wouldn't be a story. He'd have used barca's interest to get a new, bigger contract, and that's that. It should also be pointed out that his agent is completely clueless at this level. He's got like 3-4 renewals and is still not even among the club's top 4 earners despite being their most important player(and definitely among the 3-5 best)

Hell no I don't think we are, but people are acting as if we're too good for him because Herrera loves the club more? We can play a full youth side of players who probably love United, and show drive, then get relegated. Is that what these people want?

Its like people are unaware that football is a very very very large business these days

Well the manager getting the players he wants is a good thing right? We obviously wont get Griezmann this year and I doubt there's anything in the Talisca and Brozovic links, but it's good if Mourinho gets his targets.
 
Either we have really cracked down on leaking legit info to the press regarding transfer prospects, or we really need to get the ball rolling regarding key transfer dealings if we're to have our core squad for next season assembled before we leave on tour as Jose requested.

Perhaps, but he signs new deals regularly, and long ones too. For him to be thinking about going on strike so soon after signing a deal is ridiculous, especially as there have been rumours of Real and Barca interest for years anyway. It all indicates he hasn't thought past the next couple of months or so when signing.

And agree on the agent. I doubt he'll last long if he doesn't get Verratti his move this summer.

There hasn't been an interesting tweet in what seems like forever. We seem to be either in some sort of holding pattern for the Morata and Perisic deals, or we've managed to cut of all leaks entirely. I'd like to think it's the latter.
 
More likely that movement on Perisic and Morata (although it may be accurate we are in for them) was made up/exaggerated by twitter click hoars who have now found more interesting stories in Ronaldo/lewa to make BS up about.

The silence in the Morata/Perisic etc deals speaks volumes about the way modern sports 'Journalism' is carried out

More simply, maybe, rumors are what they are and showing interest or making an inquiry does not mean there will be a done deal? That said, a lot of journos stir the pot, for sure.

I've been in the "no way Perisic is our primary AM target" camp from the start. Morata, I'm not sure about, he makes a lot more sense for us, so I'm hoping there's something in those stories.

The Daily Star, translating a story from Gazetto dello Sport (which is why I am still posting this even though the Star is banned), report that Paredes has been given an ultimatum by Monchi to sign a new contract or be sold, with Zenit, Liverpool and Juventus (unlikely with non-eu rule) interested and price of €22m. Wish we were in for this guy instead of Matic.

Thus we have the JMedical, JMuseum, JStore, JVillage now the J crest and so on.

Btw Jeep is owned by Elkann/Agnelli and I guess they thought that having Jeep as the main sponsor would have benefited from the J alliteration.
